im not a psg fan, but as someone who has watched all there games this season, the absense of dembele has resulted in a completed changed tactic for psg, one that they havent used all season which consisted of low confidence, and keeping the ball slow and in the back. Put Henry in this City team and have the team built around getting the ball to him like City do with Haaland and Henry scores more. Henry is just better, he's faster, stronger, more skilful, smarter etc etc Henry's only weakness is aerial threat. Saying Haaland is a better finisher just because he's scored more isn't accurate, if you grew up watching Henry you'd know Haaland is not on Henry's level, he just has better players around him who are only there to put the ball on a plate for him

Haaland has been scoring at this level when he was at Salzburg and BvD and he’s completely outscored TH in the CL on a goal/game level while playing for Salzburg and BvD. Unless of course you think those teams were better than the Arsenal squad that TH was part of? lol Also, to suggest that the Arsenal squad TH was part of was greatly inferior to the current City squad is laughable. One could argue the City team might be slightly better on the whole, but for your logic to work, it would have to be a mid-table team to support your conclusion. And I don’t think anyone with half a brain would agree to such an outlandish claim

Every team that play vs Arsenal played with 10 men behind the ball in the Henry era. A other thing is playstyle. You wil never see Haaland deep like Henry did. Arsenal played with 2 strikers etc. What Haaland does is impressive but better? Depend on how the team play. Haaland plays in uber team that creates chance after chance and all he has to do be in a right place and finish it. That's the literal definition of having one job and doing it well. Other strikers in 99.99% of teams are not afforded this luxury because they can't afford to have 2 billion or so pounds of the world's best players behind that striker. Which is explains why Haaland seems lost when the chances are not created for him and becomes a passenger in the game. Some dogs eat the food put in front of them and others actually have to go hunt for the food. There is a world of difference.

on the goal scorer thing... the only argument you could make, is that if you put one of the great goal scorers like Henry in the man city teams Haaland has played with, I think he would have equalled or bettered Haaland..... in terms of the metrics, It's got to be on volume of chances converted rather than pure goals scored. having less or more chances is based on the team around you

I think a lot of the haarland goals can come from the amount of tackles dropping by about 25% in the last 10 years and yellow cards going up by about 30% less tackles going in gives better chances to a team who can hold the ball up pretty simple so I’d sort of agree that Owen was a better goal scorer in a sense that footballers then wasn’t as protected from tackles as they are now all you have to do is look at the difference of chin pads then and now to see how tackles have changed.

The reason Rory is saying what he’s saying Terry simply comes down to the fact that people, in general, are incapable of accepting that they are wrong. In this case, Rory was on TV two years ago before the season started saying it was disrespectful to current PL players to say that Haaland was going to score plenty of goals. He also predicted that Haaland would only score 15 goals that season. He went on to score 36 in the PL that season. Rory is just clinging onto the hope that his controversial take will end up coming true. Unfortunately for Rory, that ship has sailed and he needs to let this go. It's true on the salah/haaland disrespect. Constantly feel like I have to defend them against my own fans because of some waffle. Salah is undoubtedly the best right winger we have very had in the league, and Haaland very likely to be the best finisher by the time his prem career comes to an end. You have to take into context the team Haaland plays for and the time hes playing in has a massive impact on the numbers. Its not as simple as most means best.
