Hi Charles/TNAT Just on the ongoing value discussions about some of our players. I know the 50m quoted for Eddie Nketiah is a bit mad but like you if we can't get 30/35m for him it's poor from the club. Wolves are signing Strand Larsen from Celta Vigo for around that price who although young is unproven & isnt exactly prolific. Arsenal need to stand firm and let teams know we will only sell for players actual worth. Eddie was in the England squad before Christmas, has scored goals in the Premier League & is a good player just not for a top 4/6 side imo. Thanks. Mike

Hello Charles and TNAT! Romano reported that Arsenal are keeping an eye out on Italy and Bolgona's Calafiori. Is it true that Arsenal scouted and are interested him?(Kind of feel we scouted him along with Zirkzee) But by the sounds of it, this deal or transfer saga has a feeling similar to the Locatelli deal a few years ago. Sassuolo wanted to sell, player was only looking at Juventus, the deal was completed by Juventus taking a 2yr loan with obligation to buy. Only difference is that Bologna and Juventus are in bad feelings due to Thiago Motta's move. Personally if we don't sell Kiwior and Tierney there won't be any left sided defence signing.
Charles, Eddie does not get much game time. I think if we sell him, it would be ideal to promote an Acedmy forward to the first team to take his place. Do you not think we have a talented youth striker to do that? Obviously, if not, we buy a talented youngster from outside of Arsenal. But, the youngsters have to see a road forward for themselves.

Hey Charles. Did u see the Omari Hutchinson news? This kid went from one of the best young prospects in Europe to a footnote at Chelsea and now sold permanently to a lower league team. When Chelsea stole him from Arsenal they made him all kinds of promises. Now look where is. When are these footballers gonna realize that Chelsea just seem to be signing players wholesale in the hope that they work out? Another talent wasted.
Hi Charles, do you think the fact that arteta has not given any academy players any real game time resulting in many players opting to move elsewhere in the last 18 months, plus the fact that the ones who have been given new contracts (ESR, Nketiah, Nelson etc), have barely got any minutes will make players think twice about joining us due to the lack of a pathway.

Hi Charles & TNAT. At the start of last season Arteta was drumming on about having two No.1 goalkeepers, even suggesting the possibility of changing them in the same match! This clearly was not the case; Raya was No.1 and Ramsdale No.2, throughout the season. What changed Arteta's mind? Has anybody questioned him about why this did not materialise?

TNAT show. Really enjoying these. I wanted to ask about loan fees given Charles has just been talking about Lokonga and potential £3m fee. We have loaned Sambi and Tavares out a lot recently, have we also got good loan fees as part of that? Just thinking that Nuno was bought for about £6m and Sambi around £15m so we may be close to making our money back on one or both of them if so, before any future transfer fee is even taken into account!
You turn down a hypothetical £10 million for Partey and pay a further £10 million on wages. Based on past form he's likely to spend half the season injured. So it's cost you £20 million and you've a top number 6 for half a season minus the few games it takes him to get up to speed. To me, I'd probably still accept the £10 million and go out and purchase a reliable number 6. £50 million over five years plus similar or less wages and it's costing the same as Partey but you're probably going to have him available for more of the season.

But I still think having Havertz, Jesus and Trossard as our striker options and Saka, Martinelli, Trossard, Jesus and new signing as our wing options should be enough. But happy to agree to disagree!

Hey Charles, awesome work as always. It’s almost a given now that you are one of the surest arsenal news podcasts out there. Can we talk about Calafiori and how he might be a market available answer to the left side permanently. IMO this is the best opportunity to transform arsenal’s left hand side that I have seen this summer. Imagine what his ability to make the overlapping run for Martinelli would mean. With this arrangement, I would be comfortable playing Rice as an 8 for the season knowing he will occupy the deepest position within the left triangle (with occasional switches with the rest of the left triangle) giving Calafiori and Martinelli the chance to be at their best while interchanging with each other. The potential of this signing makes me excited. We could also see a situation where Timber could be a healthy backup while he recovers and Tomi’s minutes managed to improve his availability. The deal is very possible as we have had previously dealings with Bologna. We could also see Timber try at left 8 with this signing, who knows 😅.
🔴 Why have we not tapped into the south american market when it comes to young talent. Im very surprided that we have neglected that zone as players have high ceilings and lower transfer fees. Chelsea and Man city have already taken alot of exciting talent from there. Why hasn't Edu looked at that. We're missing a big trick there! 🔴
TNAT Show - can we revisit - federico chiesa. He would offer cover for Odegaard, Saka as well as Havertz when in midfield. Most importantly he is one of the few players that presses in that Odegaard style which is the key to our success. One player fixes the whole midfield.
TNAT- Is there any talks about a potential Joao Felix deal? I feel like he can add some quality wing depth and was branded as the next Portugal wonder kid years ago after his season at benfica. Since then hes been a 12 to 13 G/A a season player which at his age isn’t a bad player to have for depth. Also we know how Mikel likes to revive these former wonder kids

Saka hasn't been good enough as a winger since 2 years ago, not sure what is going on with him, I know he has his goals and assists stats but he is incredibly predictable, I would love him to prove me wrong but I don't think he is a world class winger but he is a class footballer.
