Let's see how tough mentally this Arsenal team really is because it doesn't get any easier from here...... Top of the Premier league with City and Pool on our arses. Have to face Bayern who have battered us over the years, and then one of City or Madrid if we progress the 2 strong favorites. Not to mention we still have to play teams like Spurs, Brighton, Villa, Chelsea, United in the league and ofc the City game which is our next game on te 31st. This could be a disastrous ending to the season for us, or it could elevate us to an even greater level.

Really really tough challenges ahead for Arsenal. Literally playing for the Premier League title against Manchester City away at the Etihad and playing the quarterfinals against Bayern Munich who last time demolished us 10-2. This is the time for Arsenal to prove that they are legit title contenders and that this team has the right mentality.

I mean, as an Arsenal fan, go big or go home. Looking at the April fixture list makes me sick, but that's what you gotta do. I guess we'll really see what this squad can do when massively pushed to the edge.

At this stage of the competition even the so called 'easier' draws are going to be pretty challenging regardless. As an Arsenal fan I'm just excited to see these big European nights again and to see our badge up there with such giants again in the draw today was a great feeling. It's a perfect opportunity for this new crop of players to make their own mark in Europe and I'm confident they'll step up.

Honestly, I feel Arsenal needed that challenge against Porto. The toughest game for Arsenal's game plan would've been Athletico Madrid they just know how to get a game over the the line. Barca, city, real & psg won't sit back back.

I’m sorry… but huh? This is their first season going far in Europe, they have absolutely zero experience with juggling fixture congestion of this magnitude playing on a stage this big. Both rounds are away from home in the second leg. They haven’t had any sort of fixture congestion since end of December, which they handled extremely poorly, and now you think with their inexperience they’ll handle Brighton, Bayern, Villa, Bayern, wolves/chelsea, spurs and then possibly city/madrid in 24 days? If they do manage that and come out of that still even in contention to win the league and into the final then I hold my hands up but there’s a reason Pep said in his first season that they didn’t have the experience to win the CL. It’s not about not being good enough to beat Bayern or Madrid or city in a one off/two off game, it’s about being good enough and experienced enough to do it while juggling a schedule like that and Arsenal frankly aren’t yet.

It's crazy how bookies have us as second to win it , just shows how far we've come. I don't think we will cus of lack of experience especially against real or city in the semi but if we want to win it someday we need these games. There is a lot of talk about how the UCL fixtures has made Arsenal's run in, in the title race even more difficult, It has for sure mind you. However, I think in the business end of the season, most teams will get fatigued, it's natural, but that fatigue only shows on the pitch if the team has very little to play for. These Arsenal players are going to be excited at the thought of playing Bayern, City or even Madrid, and I believe they will up their levels in these last few months of the season. And it shows with the fans too, we believe we have a good enough team to give the big boys a proper game. In the most humble way possible, Bring on Bayern.

Since Arsenal remaining EPL fixtures are the toughest compared to Man City and Liverpool, I was hoping for the toughest draw. What’s tougher than the club we have the terrible record? If you go back to the early years of the champions league it was usually the teams that knocked Arsenal out that went on to win it , I'd rather play Real Madrid in the next round than Man city , But I do fancy our chances of winning if we make it to Wembley and not because we are the best team in Europe , Its based purely on our Wembley form against better teams , We've beaten Chelsea , Man united , Man city and Liverpool when the pundits everywhere had them down as favorites . Copy Man City strategy of beating Bayern Munich last season. We can keep the ball away from most teams and Bayern Munich are not used to that. If limit their ball possession, we control the game better, you limit the damage their front 3 can cause. Then you take advantage of their weak defense. Arsenal is a much better team this year. If we can beat Liverpool and Man City this season, we can beat Bayern Munich. Leverkusen did exactly same to them.

In a weird way this is best case for Arsenal. Either they win and prove everyone wrong or they lose to one of these sides and you can’t really say anything bad. The facts that Arsenal failed to reach the quarterfinal stage of UCL for seventh consecutive times previously, showed the naivety of Wenger tactics . He kept making the same mistake . It is frustrating that Wenger did not push to get the best players & played with predictable formation . One of the reason why Wenger was successful in his first 10 years as Arsenal manager is because he had the right players that suits Wenger style of play. Wenger tactics allow player to expressive themselves on the pitch but lacks discipline . Not surprise Wenger did not sign a more physical players in certain areas on the pitch especially in defensive midfield.
