Brentford paid 5million for him (rising to 10 with add ons) not counting the value of him not only keeping them in the Premiership but attaining higher finishes and the revenue that brings. I understand that this is very clever analysis, But I am sure that this is a problem of Mentality and Tactics. We have very good players. Maybe we need striker but overall we are in a good shape but lack of mentality costing us losses. Bhavs. Love you mate, but I have been saying this since pre-season and been getting dogs abuse from other Arsenal fans because we were winning. And I will say too that IF we learn how to find Havertz when he ghosts in and IF he can hit the target more regularly, when he does get the ball, then that will be a game changer. But those are two biggish IFs.

We spend so much money on what I will term mechanical midfielders, big string ball winners but not enough on midfield maestros, those that can take the ball and find attacking players. Those that can open spaces and attack the goal. More ununderstandable is our lack of attention on forward players. We need wingers and strikers that would bring our games to conclusions. Signing only center back and holding midfielders won’t win us the league. Winning the ball and doing nothing with it won’t get us goals.

There is something I would like to ask you, you always say the plan was to have partey rice and odegaard, he played once like that during the community shield the 3 nexts games he puts Gabriel on the bench and partey was at right back we have seen more often partey at right back than playing with rice in midfield how can you go everywhere and say it was the plan when the fact show otherwise???

When the season started, a lot of people including pundits, haters and supporters spoke about the need for a striker. We shouldnt be scrambling like we are for one.

James' tactical change would be MUCH stronger if the double-pivot is comprised of Partey and Rice, and the overlapping left-back is Tierney. At least rotate Jorginho Partey and Rice so they won't burn out. Arteta messed up royally by sidelining and then loaning Tierney. Much more by asking him to be a below-average inverter instead of the world-class overlapper he is.

the real problem in the team is finishing off. they need a STRIKER, FINISHER, A GOAL POACHER. thats the number 1 priority, every other thing is manageable. it will be FOOLISH of Arsenal NOT to FIX this striker/finisher problem. if you can't get goals then you can't win a game. the team plays well, passes well, defend well too, etc but they CAN'T JUST SCORE GOALS for christ sake. i think they should even change their style of attack. Not popular opinion, but I would rather sell Zinny and keep Tierney. Considering all the dynamics that Zinny brings to the midfield when he inverts, he's a great liability in defense, somewhat masked by our solid defense. We can't have a liability in any part of our defense, its what cost us the title last season. Anyhow it's my personal opinion that Zinny's arc in Arsenal would come to a close once Timber is back to full fitness.

All these links are rubbish. Both Guerreiro and Frimpong play at wingback not fullback. They’ll offer little to no defensive structure. We’d have the same problem. Theo Hernandez is an elite player but I doubt AC Milan would sell him even if we exchange a player. The benzema story is just propaganda. This guy is earning nearly 2M a week. With FFP on everyone’s back, it would be daft for everyone to get him. Overall just another video to spend nothing important.
