City biggest worry is their squad especially key players’s age and health. KDB, Silva, Rodri, Diaz, Edison, Kovacic, Gundogan, all are at their peak or starting to decline. As for Arsenal, they are younger and they are still chasing the title, so mentally they will have more juice.

Unpopular opinion Aston Villa finished third

Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart put the Chelsea team together. They are in charge of all ins and outs. Maresca is the coach. Something no one outside of Chelsea fans seems to understand.

Newcastle will rebound from last year, especially if they get some new players. They will challenge Liverpool, Villa for top 4 spot. Their squad has quality but depth is not deep. So if they can keep everyone healthy which I think so ( law of average, last year they had so bad luck with injuries), they will be good.

Spurs will come down to earth and not so lucky any more this year(law of average). Son is going downhill for sure, they did not add any proven big name(Solenke - I only know his name from last year) this year and last year. So the squad depth and quality will start to show them this year. The coach’s style is what their biggest asset, yet still needs to be proven in year two after people make adjustment to them. The first game tie with a talent so low Leister team is a sign that this year will be a lot tougher for them.

People have written Villa off already this season but I rate their manager higher than all except Pep and Arteta in the PL. They have spent a lot too. Early days but I think the top 4 from last season will be the same this season.

They have so many would be star, boarder line stars, they only have one star which is Palmer yet he only has one year experience and yet to prove he can adjust to defenses after they see him last year. There are three levels this year in PL, City & Arsenal is one level, and Liverpool, Spurs, Villa, Newcastle, ManU, Chelsea, Fulham, Brighton, Palace(no if they sell more players) those will fight for 3-6 places. And the rest are level 3.

Liverpool will come down to 2nd level team because Klopp keeps that team performing at high level and they believe in him when things don’t go well, NOT the new coach yet. And they did not add any significant player with half of their starters getting a year older.
