ART CHALLENGE Re-Creating My Painting with Sequins 

How is it that you can start doing something completely new to you, and create a masterpiece. You are a super artist!

So that's what sequins are used for. They always seemed like large glitter.

Me: stabs myself with my fork trying to eat dinner. Jamie: I can paint with SEQUINS. *slow clap*

when I was around 9 one of my friend got a giant sequin thing to do for her birthday and I remember we did it together all day and it was so much fun and I completely forgot about it until this video! ( i'm now considering gifting her one for a birthday next year, 12 years after) and yours looks so great Jamie wooow!!

As a child I’d see so many adverts for sequin art when I was watching cartoons this was pure nostalgia 🥺

Wow !!! While you were doing the recreation of your painting, I was watching like "this isn't exactly the same as the actual painting, but that's fair enough, it's a hard project", but then when you showed them side by side at the end - it turned out they were identical! So shocked and delighted😍

The patience needed for this is insane but the final products look incredible!💞

I got one of these kits as a present when I was younger, and I loved it! It was one of the more complicated velvet ones where you had to use the picture on the box as a guide. I spent hours and hours working on it with my grandad, and now I'm older I really treasure the time we spent doing craft projects together 😊 We also made two rugs from latch hook rug kits, created new outfits and props for paper dolls, and did countless drawings even though neither of us can draw very well!

the fact that you are branching out with challenge videos just shows how you sometimes need to push your boundaries to grow your skill! it's made me do the same (even just using a single pen, or timing myself to do a 5-minute painting has helped a lot)

Oh my goodness, it's like sparkly pixel art. I love it. And I love that the result was kind of see through too. Makes me think of the old Gameboys that came with the backlight separately.

I remember working with sequins in Girl Scouts and Elementary school. They were so much fun!

This is kinda like perler bead art but with sequins!! It's a clever( and sparkly) idea! I like it!
