I don't care how much disbelief needs to be suspended. Ben Gates protecting himself with the bulletproof Declaration of Independence case is freaking AWESOME! It's like Captain America's shield. I love your approach to this. You had fun and didn't take yourself too seriously. Didn't even call Ben Gates a cowboy once, lol!

This is so funny, it reminds me of my pilot husband and his friends critiquing flying movies. I enjoyed your commentary and your insight into conservation. I chuckled when you said you took a class on drinking wine, eating cheese, and making small talk.

DC area native means an childhood of visiting these places on literally every field trip, three plus times per school year. It makes it a lot more amusing to see it played up on the big screen. However, the thing I love most about this movie is that it isn't all shot in California! It's [mostly] the real places and it so all looks right, unlike the typical Hollywood fare where they try to tell you that some university building in Los Angeles is the Capitol building. That alone makes it super fun :)

100%. It cracks me up that at Mt. Rushmore they have a sign that reads “Filming Location of National Treasure 2”.
