Art Instruction Demonstration/ Beginning an Oil Portrait of a Child 

Nettie Kaye demonstrates how to begin an oil painting of a child. In this episode, she illustrates how to create an underpainting in a monochrome layer. The monochrome layer is created on a smooth panel using a wipe out technique along with brushwork. Following this Episode, she will finish the painting with beautiful translucent layers of rich oils.
