As requested, this is my first time ever showing my gel print exploration journal. This is how I taught myself to Gel print, collage, and use mixed media in a more abstract style. It's not amazing, but it will hopefully feed some ideas 😊
Your adapted Gell print mixed media book is so wonderful, you are such a talented lady. I can see your creative passion and love for what you do in every page. So inspiring. Thank you for sharing and teaching all of us. You are very much appreciated Sara. 🫶🏻❤️ Donna 🌹
Oh my gosh, what a stunning art journal! I'd be interested in seeing how you achieve any of these - every page is gorgeous and interesting. I love how the colours and textures change mood with each flip. Thanks for sharing this with us 💕
This whole journal is absolutely amazing. If I had to pick just one, I could not do it. Thank you so much for sharing your art. I suddenly feel the need to do a mixed media journal! Thank you♥️1:39-1:42 is the front runner for me.
I have really enjoyed the viewing. Very creative art work and lots of stand out pages . I was going to ask some questions at the end . But you came in with the answers at the finish of video🤩 Thanks.
Ohmygoodness I love absolutely everything about this book I would love to touch it it looks so tactile it's so beautiful. I definitely need to try gelli printing now. Thanks Sara Lee 😊
I thoroughly enjoyed this flip through! It is honestly a great reminder for me to make more time for me and to just art for myself. I have several art journals filled with mixed media. It’s such a release and a great way to focus my mind, be in the moment and be selfish (in a good way). Their are too many to choose from for me, but 2 that stuck out were at 5:08 and 7:08. I loved the bubble or cell formations you got. So many more I could list. After my next set of commissioned journals, I’m definitely taking some me time for SelfCare and doing some mixed media. Thank you!
Very adventurous! I love how many different styles you did all in one book. There are several that I'd love to known about, so far too many time stamps to add!
This is fantastic. You are so very talented! I'll be watching this a few times I'm sure. The pages at 2.09 might be my favourite but there are plenty of others too 🙂 I would love to see a tutorial or two on how you create these gelli prints although I know you can never repeat the same pages exactly. Can I say again, you are so clever ❤
@bluemac9476 aaw youre so sweet 😊 I'll note that one down, I'll at least to be able to show the layers I used, p.s invest in some cheap lunch paper/ baking paper (not the non stick kind) the really light weight paper, I print on this a lot, as when you collage later it doesn't add bulk, and it doesn't wrinkle either
It's the pages after the ones that has F6 on it. They are pink and blue with what might be netting, black circles and perhaps hand drawn black and white flowers on the bottom. Gorgeous! Hope my description helps
Absolutely beautiful. Amazing assortment. I would like to see you do a complete page entry from start to finish. Are you taking gel prints and gluing (decoupaging)pieces of them onto these pages and adding other images? Would love to see the process. You are very talented ❤
Mostly, yes, I print them on a very thin paper. In NZ it's called lunch wrap or baking paper (not the non stick kind. It's lovely and thin and doesn't wrinkle when decoupaged/collaged 💛
This is gorgeous! You are one amazing artist! Just to get an idea of your process, do you gel print on sperate sheets of paper and then stick them in, or do you gel print directly onto the book pages? Much love and thanks for sharing!❤❤
@NHarts3 aw thank you so much 🥰 i work directly on the pages, I often use baking paper (not the non-st8ck kind), to print on, as it's lovely and thin, and quite durable, not the non stick kind, it can also be called lunch paper. 💛
@NHarts3 I print them on lunch paper, and decoupage them in, I will show the paper I use in the next tutorial, decoupages wrinkle free, it's so easy and has very little bulk
@@MichelleCollum-Escape2Create @NHarts3 aw thank you so much 🥰 i work directly on the pages, I often use baking paper (not the non-stick kind), to print on, as it's lovely and thin, and quite durable, not the non stick kind, it can also be called lunch paper. 💛
@@sara-leearmstrong5009 ok great I did see that and then I see you expanded to the decoupage. Thats the most I wasn’t sure of! I wonder if baking paper is like butcher paper?
