Oh my goodness! I love love those window pocket closures!! This is so wonderful! A true secret diary. This is such a unique project - I just love it so much!
@@sara-leearmstrong5009 oh, that would be so nice. 🥰 But, do you ever construct the actual albums? Or just use old books/photo albums? And how you do your signatures in the albums.
@laneyno8 oh the covers! Yes I do, most of the time, the green book trio is the first time I have used old book covers, all the other journals I've made the covers myself. I use mat board. The type you use to put around photos/pictures in frames. My next one I make I will film for you. If you have a picture framing gallery near you, they may have some off cuts you could ask for
your channel is going to keep growing because you are so talented! You are so appreciated by us...keep creating and showing us how you do ALL the things because we love everything you make!!
What a lovely tactile video…sound of the music, seeing the beauty of this journal, and I can almost feel the papers as you turn the pages. So, so pretty. I must admit though…I thought I was going to learn a new technique called “faffing”. Hahaha…I guess that’s just gabbing in NZ😄 The same thing as “yapping” in the States… I guess. But I found I missed hearing your voice. Jeez, I sound like a stalker. I’m not, I promise! Very pretty
@laneyno8 😆 haha that's ones been filmed with talking too it's in my junk journal flip throughs section lol faffing is messing about, floundering, not efficient, I guess that's the best I can explain it 💛😊🌼
I’m so in love with this project! Can’t wait to try this…❤ At the time of the camera stopping, did you use the hair dryer to dry each layer lightly? Or just enough for no liquid to run? Then you mentioned baking in the oven. Can you explain what time and temp you did that? Now to go and see if you also teach that waxing thing you do to paper. I can’t remember if it’s something you just told us about or “showed” us.
Lol when the stupid camera stopped, I believe I was forcing the liquid to run into the dry areas to make really cool run streaks. I usually wait till I have finished then dry each layer, enough so I can lift them up to put in the oven without all the liquid blending and only getting black tones, or running under the stencils and losing the beautiful pattern. They also dry faster as one layer rather than the whole stack. I put them in my oven at about 30-50 degrees Celsius, until dry. 30 if you want to be cautious, 50 if youre impatient lol like meI just keep checking on them. But at this low temp, it doesnt matter if they stay in there longer. Hope this helps!
@@sara-leearmstrong5009 it helps tremendously. Thank you. I can’t wait to try this but I will have to go the 2nd hand shop of books and see if I can build up my paper stash before attempting it. I’m impatient as well and will no doubt do it like you. Thanks for explaining the details😘
You are so amazing at what you do. I love your work. I started to watch this video on my phone, but I want to see every detail on the big screen. ❤❤❤LOVE it. Hugs from Diana in California USA. P.S. I love the cover. It is beautiful, and using the texture paste with paint added the perfect touch.
Aaw thank you! Haha there are certainly a lot of details lol I just can't help myself. I see these semi blank journals on RU-vid and I think "I could do that" next minute, nope, they look like they do hours and hours later 😆 the blank pages just seem so lonely and unloved next to the other ones I just have to give them some love 😆
Haha yes, each one is like a child of mine, I put so much of me into them, I just can't help myself. I think it's being a jack of all and master of none, the ideas just pop into my head and I have to do it! Thank you so much 💛😊🌼
Aaw thank you my friend, I was worried about this one as its not technically a journal and something new, but you inspired me to jump out of my comfort zone!
Aw thanks Judy! I absolutely l9ve that "each page is an adventure" I loved pop up books as a kid, the interaction was what drew me to them. I guess that's where it comes from 💛😊🌼
The tree painting on the cover is immaculate. The detail is incredible! Lovely work! I love the forest theme! Absolutely stunning! Also, I think the velvet on the back of the cover is the perfect texture to set the tone for the theme. 🌳 🌳 🌳
Oh that is fabulous feedback. Like i say in the video, it feels so beautiful, I'm glad that it didn't look like I was missing detail. Thank you so much!💛🌼😊 comments like yours give me confidence to keep trying new things in my journals
You are SHOCKINGLY talented!!! I absolutely love everything you do. I just wish I could sit beside you for just one day so some of that talent may rub off to me. I just bought a 150 year old photo album where the cover is so badly faded in some areas and I wondered what I could do for the cover…I would love to paint it like you have done. Do you have a video for that? I know you can’t do a video for everything you do, but hoping you have, or will consider it. ❤
@laneyno8 haha if you are in Nz or ever visit I'd be happy to spend the day crafting with you! No, alright, I didn't, as I didn't know if it would turn out or not! I just get so caught up crafting sometimes, I completely forget to film things lol hopeless I know! But for you, I will definitely consider it 💛😊🌼 it's school holidays here as of the end of today, so I may have time 🤞🤞
I’m a retired teacher in Kentucky in the States. You are welcome to come visit here as well! ❤❤❤ And, thank you, thank you, thank you for considering that video😘
