Art Yarn ... or not?

It takes trying something for me to know how little I know! I naturally spin rather fine yarns because at heart I am a cheap skate who wants Yardage!! What is Art Yarn? Bulky thick and thin? Feathers? Locks? Core spinning? I've been having technical difficulties and this is the third time through this description. :/ Spoiler alert: I've figured some stuff out - coming to a computer near you.

Ha!! I love it! Our experience in fiber is all so similar. I must admit, the only thing I don’t like is discovering my stitch count is mysteriously off! And then I’m frogging back 6”!! Jen, have super weekend. Enjoy Father’s Day - looks like I’ll be knitting on the bank of a beautiful local river while The Old Man wades around catching fish. A good day. Hugs!!!

If you take the thicker bits and change the plying angleyou'll get more of a spiral and more of the art look and texture.

So sweet of you to say. I realize as I respond to your comment so late (10 days!?!?), that I am way behind in video editing. I have several more tries to show. But it’s summer here and the garden needs to be harvested and preserved every darned day! Thank you!
