Watch as New York Rangers forward Artemi Panarin sends a wrist shot past Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry to score the series-clinching goal in Game 7.
Igor Sheshterkin gets the last laugh. Dude did not allow a goal in the third period for games 5,6, AND 7 and kept his team in it despite that rough start to the series. What a comeback from the Rangers.
For IGOR going from total devastation to victory was such an invaluable experience for him. Great series and am looking forward to playing Carolina..should be a classic.
@@bflathead invaluable experience...lol...dude they play the game let's not make this a big scientific experiment..experience..lll...Bryan trotter 4 cups fk u
My father was a lifelong Ranger fan but sadly, he passed away two weeks ago today at the age of 80. I'm a dyed in the wool Flyers fan for the past 22 years and still will be but for these playoffs at least, I'll back the Blueshirts. Miss and love you tons, Dad....your boys pulled it out tonight and beat those Penguin scum! At least I have someone to root for....even if they are the Flyers' 2nd biggest rival after Pittsburgh! 😁
Years ago the Flyers, who I hated, were playing the Russians on a televised afternoon game. I never rooted so hard in my life for Bobby Clarke and the rest of the Flyers. They physically beat the Russians up. One of the greatest games I ever saw. Root for the Rangers because you know your Dad must have had the big guy’s ear last night.
@@thomasm5828 I remember that game and B. Clarke is my fav player of all time although I am from the former SU and of course supported the Soviet team... At the famous games of 72 I was 11 yo and watched this on a black-white TV 😁 and now I am a supporter of Phili
This is a nonsense statement. Professional athletes play hard all the time..you make it seem like they had a SPECIAL come from behind ethic..total nonsense and no proof of that. Seriously. ..
They only won because they had 2 fluke goals in 2 separate games and because they targeted Crosby with a dirty hit. Pens weren’t gonna win the cup anyways, but NY isn’t either.
This is what I love about the playoffs man! I am a canucks fan and I was so pumped when Panarin scored. I hope my bracket is alive and the Rangers can take this all the way to the end and win a Stanley cup. I just wish there was a link to the rangers announcer saying that goal "PANARIN SHOOTS HE SCOOOORES! IT'S A POWERPLAY GOAL!" :))
@@srinathganapathy289 The nucks are going to have a killer playoff team within the next few years. They only barely missed this year and would have made it without that god awful start to the season. I’ll be pulling for them when my leafs lose the first round next year again LOL
@@Rodgerwilco91 They deserve it a HELL of a lot more than the 3-1 series leading penguins, with or without Crosby they blew it BAD. The rangers deserved it more.
@@khpredator0032 So you started watching hockey 5 years ago ? I feel sorry, you cheer for a team run by degenerate gamblers who're chasing 2018 and can't keep a single lineup for more than one season.
@@brittanyjordan1265 “they had to take out Crosby”. He got injured from a clean hit, you really think it was intentional? And Crosby didn’t help anyway, they still beat him today, so stop complaining.
Series had action...Igor gaa 3.6 in playoffs...rangers had to go to 7 and ot vs a 3rd string goalie and no crosby..also nyr outshot games. Wouldn't say this:is a good achievement. Carolina is minus 200 to win series...wow wow 200 ...wow...nyr 15 to 1 to win cup. Crosby 3 cups and Mario 2 cups...once again tons better then nyr
@@animaladam5 same thing the first time in crosby s career. Bad concussion, misses half a week and then a compounding concussion . Still, he has the competitive fire at the age 34.
@@daVi-zf3fg лучше бы порадовался за парня ! Нет же, надо и в хорошем найти изъян ! Артемий молодец, отдал много важных голевых по сезону и в плей-офф, забил решающий в 7 игре. Уважуха !
This was a thrilling series..for both teams.. usually the home team wins game 7. Penguins are old. Still an exciting series. Penguins had their chances to burry the Rangers and didn’t or could not get by the wall of Igor. Panarin stepped up finally and delivered $11.6 million. The Breadman has returned from the oven in OT. Fresh loaf of hot Bread. Any customers??? 😊
Pens fan here Congratulations Rags was a great series!! Win or Lose I stick with my team.. You got a good core and was the better team Congratulations!!
This is what I like about Hockey fans, when their really nice even after loosing. As a Rangers Fan, the Penguins were really good too! You had me stressing out for some time there!!
Not trying to start anything just wanna talk. We were not the better team. We had a goalie who stood on his head and some lucky goals. Such a fun series. You guys still looked good. Gg!
Rangers had teach us a valuable lesson in this first round series. It doesn't matter how far behind you are in the race. It you just stay steady and go at your own pace. YOU CAN ALWAYS CATCH UP RIGHT BEFORE YOU REACH THE FINISH LINE AT THE END!
@@user-lettersandshit Sid and Trouba embraced in the handshake line. Seemed like Crosby didn’t appear to have animosity toward him. I don’t think the hit was anything. I think Sid took an awkward fall. Glad he and Jarry played in Game 7. What a series! Pens will be back. Sid ain’t going anywhere so they’ll always be in it.
Rangers were absolutely terrible this series high key. Dead last of all the playoff teams 5v5 and 1st was....you guessed it the Penguins. It was all Pens. Rangers played for 10minutes a game and it was somehow good enough. What a fluke
Completely agree this series was the best in round 1 IMO even if I’m a Tampa fan lol, and even I jumped out of seat when Artemi panarin scored that OT winner.
Thanks to this comeback (and the Flames winning last night too), I have a perfect bracket entering the 2nd Round regarding the teams that would make it.
@@RangersFanatic275 its all good Im actually a leafs fan here in Toronto (we wont go into that LOL) That Rangers team is just something special. I have them pegged as the dark horse team to come out of the east. Rangers fans deserve this team and vice versa.
What a shot. How that made it through I don’t know. But tip of the hat to the Penguins - heartbreaking to lose that series on either side. Let’s Go Rangers.
Figure out the cap situation in Pitt. Sid will be back with a new squad like he always does! Probably the best I’ve seen him play! Not to spark controversy, but I truly don’t think the hit was anything - he fell awkwardly. I compare it to like the non contact football injury where it doesn’t always have to look bad to have an impact. Sid and Jacob embraced in the handshake line too. Gotta love hockey!
Takes some brass balls to take a shot like that. I've seen the replay more than a few times already and I still have no idea if it was deflected or not. Guess he doesn't need them lottery tickets with NHL salaries :)
Zibanejad heating up at the right time, Panarin is hungry, Fox is Fox, Igor, nothing to say about him but the difference maker next series.. Mark words Kyandre Miller. Good things to look forward to. Let's Go Rangers!!!!!
I think this is it for the Pens. This was a do or die year and they failed. With uncertainties of where the core is headed, next season could be a big turn backwards. I knew the series was over when the Pens blew game 6. Not excited for the off-season. GG Rangers.
Domingue keeps them in the series, then they go back to Jarry (obviously the right play in theory) And the Rangers targeted above his shoulder all game because he was dropping butterfly way too early. So they punished him and got it to overtime. This was their reward.
