Artemis II crew details their upcoming historic moon mission 

It's the first time in a while that astronauts have been stars that are being interviewed by every news channel. It really puts a smile on my face.

Absolute respect and admiration for these scientific athletes with the physical strength, mental toughness, and bravery, that only the people in their field can truly understand, yet we all can appreciate. Godspeed to Victor Glover, Reid Wiseman, Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen. May your mission be a success.

I remember when I was a kid my dad telling me stories about the Apollo missions and how he and his sisters were glued to the television sets watching the launches and the moonwalks. The whole family would be huddled in the living room watching together. He said it was one of the most exciting times of his life. Now, I'm 38 years old and I have three daughters, we'll definitely be watching the Artemis launching together as a family, really wish my father was alive to be here with us.

One of the few times national news and media actually put people in real life who deserve this platform and are pushing human beings to become a better civilization. Thank you for Putting out this content :)

When you see our blue planet from the perspective of the moon, you realize that everything and everyone you know is on that planet and that we have to do a better job of taking care of our planet.

It remains to be seen whether this flight will actually take place, given it will not take place until November 2024 at the earliest. NASA will need to provide the public with a very good explanation as to why it is doing this, not only because the world is beset by so many desperate problems but why astronauts’ lives and health are being put at great risk to undertake such a dangerous journey, especially if the reason for going is to conduct science research, which is often done better and certainly far cheaper and safely with robotic spacecraft. The tragedy of the lost Titanic submersible is a classic case that exploration in very dangerous, hazardous environments like the deep sea and space is better done by robots. You can experience the wreck of the Titanic without actually having to go there and the same is true with Mars and the Moon. Most importantly, if something goes wrong with a robot, no lives are put at risk and lost. That is why if It IS necessary to send people into such dangerous environments, there must be a very good reason indeed to do so to justify the cost and risk. So far I do not believe NASA has given such a good reason, given how expensive Artemis is, and getting more expensive with each passing year, month, week or even day.

It's amazing in 2023 how much preparation we are taking and all of the calculations we are sifting through just to prepare to travel around the moon and we're not even landing on it yet, 52 years ago we allegedly landed on the moon? Look at the interview from Buzz, Neil and Michael when they came "back from the moon" and tell me they went to space and landed on the moon and recognised a life long dream of becoming astronauts .....And then explain the disappointment and the obvious discomfort they exhibited.
