Somewhere in a bar in the sky... Mac, Davey, Sean, Lenny, miss grimshaw and Hosea are drinking and reveling, then the double doors swing open and Arthur walks in silently, head hung low, he walks up to the bar and gets a drink, the gang all silently take their sips before Hosea finally sighs and sets his drink on the bar top “it’s... good to see you son” Arthur looks to him sadly and nods “yeah... you too boys...” he holds up his beer and smiles weakly, they all tapping their bottles and glasses in unison before taking a drink, years of endless revelry and story telling later and Then one day without warning, Javier and bill enter the bar, arguing as usual, Hosea walks up and claps bill across the back of the head sharply “WHAT’D I TELL YOU ABOUT CALLING JAVIER A GREASER!?” Then as if by design, Dutch walks through the double doors, everybody turns and immediately sours, there’s a long moment of tension and standing off before Sean, always being the one to break the tension, takes several steps to the right, opening up a spot for Dutch between he and Arthur, Dutch smiling weakly and nodding silently before walking up to the bar “I’m sorry... my sons... I lost my way...” Arthur sighs and shrugs, taking a sip of his beer “you got here eventually... that’s what ma-“ the conversation is cut short as john walks into the double doors, Dutch turning sharply “John... but I... I thought...” John shakes his head sadly “you were right dutch... they found themselves another monster” he says as he takes his spot at the bar “bastards double crossed me” Hosea sighs as he takes his position next to arthur, who stands between he and Dutch “what’d you expect? Them to just let the man who broke out of Sisika to just walk away?” John begins laughing and walks up to the bar “you were so pissed about that Dutch! I HaD a PlAn!” Dutch begins laughing “I did have a plan too, but... I think my days of planning and ideas are over with...” Arthur nods “for all of us... for now... let’s drink boys! And marston...” they share a long stare at one another before Arthur smirks “gimme my god damn hat back boah!”
AxSProductions thank you my friend, gotta write about something in my journal while hunting or fishing, and that was actually an excerpt from my journal
Sad part is, that in the end neither man made it. But they left an impact, both of them. BTW Arthur's death scene is still next to impossible for me to watch. Damn.
@@collindevries1965 Arthur struggling to crawl to a more comfortable spot is the part of it that I can't make it through without crying, try as I may. I get the uncontrollable urge to help him, but can't. But yeah, I think that was the moment that Dutch's life truly ended. Good or bad, he was just a shadow of himself after that.
A part of me wishes I could wake up in the old west, I could find the gang and warn them about everything that's about to happen, I could save Arthur from getting tuberculosis, get Micah killed or arrested, Hosea and Lenny survive the robbery in Saint Denis, and Dutch remains sane and the gang makes it to Tahiti, and then when I'm done I go back home knowing I saved the Van Der Linde gang, it sounds ridiculous, but that's what happens when you bond with the characters
More than a betrayer, a coward. When that trolley crash gave him that bump on his head, it exposed his true intentions. His true colours! And when Hosea died, it made him more uncontrollable, and when Arthur died, Dutch became a madman.
When Arthur died it was like a part of me died😭❤️ RIP Arthur Morgan, he was the most relatable character that Rockstar ever made. I hop Rockstar make a Rdr3 where you start at the final mission and choose to run with John and get his family and Mary-Beth and run away to something Warm place like the doctor told him to do
This is by far one of the best story lines and character of video games in my opinion. Arthur was an honorable man no matter what the honor level said on your game.
The way to play red dead 2 with the honor situation is in the beginning let him have bad honor but once he gets sick and starts to realize he should be better and do good with what time he has left, the get high honour till his death
Damn straight its about redemption...i promised never to let Arthur become the wolf again. His grave covered in mountains of flowers and strangers have the most positive things to say about him.... And they had better cause john will burn your godamn house down and paint your face 100x in dead eye
Right I’m gonna go out of character: I’ve never felt so attached to a video game character,I legit cried when I played the last mission as Arthur, amazing video man
Seriously! The talent you have of adding more emotion to the videos is impeccable. The 2 dislikes are either for the fact that we lost Arthur or just plain jealous. Keep it up!
You know, youre doing a great job! I played the story once but now i reallise that I should play it again after seeing all your tributes. I am getting so emotionally from this😭 How did I not cry while I was playing this, Only rockstar could gave me,us, the whole community that feeling of sadness in a storry. And with you making these videos even a better one! But to be honest ONLINE SUCKS
Been playing games since I was old enough to physically hold a controller in my hands, and can say Red Dead Redemption 2 is right up there with The Last Of Us, Telltales The Walking Dead, and Yakuza for example when it comes to storytelling and connecting you with the characters. Haven't played RDR2 in a while, but started another playthrough determined to get 100% and even though I know Sean, Kieran, Hosea, Lenny, Molly, Grimshaw, and lastly Arthur all die in the end; that doesn't make the story of the Van Der Linde gang and Red Dead Redemption as a whole any less tragic and hard to see
Man, halfway through the game I really wanted to believe Arthur could have a good ending one where he fakes his death and years later finds the marstons, helps john build his ranch and after its finished Arthur and John find and kill Micah, after that Arthur and John have a final beer together on johns porch and Arthur rides off into the sunset a free man without the law pursuing him. But I played rdr1 and I had a strong feeling that it wouldn't be a happy ending.
