It is! If you have breathing problems through your nose, it works really well at first. But if you use it more than a couple of days , it has a rebound effect, and actually makes you worse. So the more you use the more you need
Back in the day it was more like tiny hits of meth. My grandfather and other old-timers loved it too, they didn't just pull this idea out of the sky lol
@@ReeseChown I used a over the counter spray pain reliever and it gave me a really wild tingling feeling that kind of washed across me. For the next 24 hours I had this deep feeling of dread and that nothing really mattered. I googled it and found it was a known side effect of the pain reliever. Luckily I didn’t act out on it and quit my job or worse.
Saline nasal spray is the safer chose. The other kind of nasal spray has been known to shut down automatic breathing so that when you fall asleep you wake up gasping for air.
OMG, I thought only I had an addiction to nasal spray, actually it was the Vicks nasal menthol inhaler I was addicted to when I was a teenager. I used to ask for a bathroom pass in class twice an hour and went to the bathroom and snort the Vicks nasal spray. Thanks Arthur you made me feel normal again.
the funny thing is that this honestly is something people can become 'addicted' to, but more in a physical way and not mental way if you take certain sprays for too long your mucous membranes stop working properly and you can only breath properly through the nose with a nasal spray XD so Arthur actually brought us a life-lesson there albeit a small one XD

I think with a lot of people don’t realize his nasal spray actually contains steroids. Similar to inhalers I was on an inhaler for a little bit in 2015 from being sick and that stuff used to get me a really high.
