@@Roope09 nope, he gets tb in chapter 2 from Thomas Downes, and because of the beating from Colm and the whole Guarma situation the sickness kicks in faster and harder
NEW EASIER STRATEGY: Go near the edge of the southern farthest peninsula in Big Horn Valley that is southeast to Riggs Station and Lone Mule Stead and you will complete Horseman 9 challenge without even having step foot in Blackwater. It somehow counts it as being in Blackwater.Which means it's alot quicker and you also dont have to deal with your horse making the broken bridge jump or deal with Pinkertons.
My man is legit arthur Edit: alright I am tired of comments of it being ai, when this was originally published there was no description of it saying it was ai.
@@ozarkvolt idk, sounds like a close impersonation. Ai voice is spot on at flat delivery but sounds fake with expressive speech. But here his tone is a bit off but it doesn't sound fake when he's raising voice.
This is like an audiobook of Arthurs' journal. The screams at 3:47 and then the comment of 'Don't worry he'll be fine' 👌🏻🤣 that got you my sub. Hilarious.
When leveling up your horse by leading it around, putting an animal carcass on the back of your horse will level it up 5x faster than without it. With the animal corpse you get 20xp every 25 seconds compared to 4xp every 25 seconds without it which will save you hours
It never occurred to me that the horses may have different jumping capabilities so when I was faced with this same dilemma I gave up trying to make the gap
this tutorial is pure gold, but not because it helped me with the challenge, but because you actually explained everything thoroughly and even included stuff on the way that wasn't about the challenge. Keep it up!
My fellow RDR2 fanatics, now that is how a tutorial should be done! A little comedy, some sight seeing, a tip on where to find the funding for your horse if you can’t afford it yet, and precise instructions on how to accomplish the challenge. Perfect!
@@nefareal4546 When you're playing the game, you want to get back to the game ASAP. When you're not playing the game, then this is great entertainment.
@@nefareal4546 Dude how do you even have the audacity to say what you said, anyone that geniunely enjoys this game would appreciate this video and get a good kick outta dudes voice alone. Haven’t enjoyed a tutorial like this in aalll the fiivee years I’ve been riidin with Dutch and the boys. The way he drew that up and put it all together. Thatt shiit was Bang Bangg Van der Linde Gangg!! Now getcho Pinkerton ass outta hereee
@@samsmyth24 If you don't start the javier mission you have a bigger area in Blackwater to move in before they start shooting at you, therefore the Van Horn to Blackwater mission is more easy.
This was absolutely fantastic. I have hoped someone would find a way to do this and here it is. Well presented video and instead of being a "boring ride" it was like I was being given a tour during the trip. Well done!
I completed it doing another route but I have to say this has to be my favorite video on the topic. I like the fact you were in the middle of something and then “oh dear (deer)”.
when you get the dutch warmblood in valentine, if you put a marker on van horn and start leading your horse along the marked path, you will bond to level 4 just around the kamassa river.
Yeah just press G while riding after 5-10 seconds it will regenerate stamina of your horse. You can also shoot up in air by holding U while aiming to scare witnesses
This is the one challenge I thought should definitely go to Arthur. He has the most experience with horses throughout the game more than John since you go through a majority of the horse breeds. You're left with the best horse when you're using John so it feels unearned. And since the mechanics make you more involved in the horses health and experience I just think Arthur is a better choice than John. It made more sense to make John a herbalist since it's a way to give John something for exploring the map again as a "new" character. John will become a horsemaster in RDR1.
Tips for this jump: the bigger the horse, the bigger their jump. The ideal horses to use here are the large horses like Dutch Warmbloods and Shires. Turkomans and MFTs can make it but it's a bit more difficult, Arabians and Nokotas are almost impossible (since they're the smaller breeds).
I highly recommend playing through this game without the mini map or compass or waypoints even on the pause screen map. It's very immersive when you do. You have to learn which landmarks lead you where and you'll actually notice much more secrets and places of interest because you're entirely focused on the world.
I’ve been doing this on a replay, really immersive and engaging. While the pre-release myth of character dialogue changing to give you more directions (if anyone remembers that) is in fact a myth, on most missions with a companion they will either give you directions anyway or have you follow them.
I found an even EASIER method of completing the challenge! You know that strip of land south of Lone Mule Stead that extends close to Blackwater? You can just ride your horse to the tip of that strip and get the challenge completed.
Just tested, works perfectly. Also, your Dutch warm blood (whom I named Jumper lmao) doesn’t have to be at level 4 bonding. I got across with one fresh out of the stables and even tested it a couple times just to make sure it wasn’t a fluke
@@codyjarvisHad a black saddlebred I procured from a member of the El Toros or is it Del? Tried to name it El Negro Toro, was told that was profanity, tried several variations same results,in frustratration I tried Black Mammy and that was accepted with no problem. Some thing is really twisted at Rockstar.
Love this voice artist! Plus the tips were broken down in a really helpful, step by step way. Funny as hell too. Perfectly pitched. Thanks. More please?
This was so good. And refreshing. I’m like an addict looking for new experiences from a game we now know from the inside and outside. I literally bought this game for 3 friends the past couple of years. Because if I could experience it for the first time again, I wouldn’t hesitate to spend that money. Great content! Really strange to hear Arthur while looking at a tutorial with some fun facts along the way. Way to go man. Even after 6 years, you did something new. Keep it up. Subbed and bless you.
O my days. Best RDR2 vid ever. Funny and informative. I’ve always crashed trying the broken bridge and now I know why. Cheers partner 💪🏼 you just earned another sub.
Awesome, brother. Nicely detailed. You can also complete this challenge without encountering the Pinkertons by simply doing the first St. Denis bounty mission. Indtead of taking the bounty back to jail, simply ride to Van Horn to begin the challenge and follow the route as explained in the video and then to West Elizabeth via Owanjila bridge to complete the challenge. Easy peasy.
I've just tried this and I failed anyway because I touched water, but I can confirm it stops the snipers! It's annoying that the body slows you down though 😂
Of course, you can also just go on a bounty mission and once they're tied up on the back of your horse, you can ride around the Wanted area all you want with no lawmen showing up.
Dude. I’ve never seen someone so informative as you. You know everything about the game and even offer tips for other things or finding Eagles on the bridge. It even sounds like Arthur
If you do this challenge with a bounty on the back of your horse, they won't shoot you, but you probably can't make that jump and might have to go the long way
You can also use Reverend Swanson. Although I do prefer to use him to "clear" the map near Blackwater and Great Planes/Tall Trees and do Horseman Challenge #9 the old way (passing through Owanjila Dam).
Dude! Best video ever! You have to do more like this! I also can confirm that rain does not ruin this challenge. I think you should brush your horse & give your horse a horse meal before going, but you can regen stamina by pressing L3 every 30secs. Also, when you get to the broken bridge, brush your horse, use some health fortifier, like moonshine or potent health cure and also a minty big game. I also find that if you run on a rail on the train tracks, it seems to speed up. It’s riskier, but faster. Hope this helps!
It is insane how good the AI copies the voice 😍 Imagine what the mod community could do with this. Creating an Happy End for Arthur. Thank you for this awesome video!
You won’t jump that bridge with an Arabian. You need a much larger horse. The Arabian is like a goal compared to any other horse in the game. It’s ridiculous how tiny the Arabian is. It’s really not worth it for me, with it’s ridiculous size and spooky/extremely nervous behavior
I like the size of the Shire a lot more (those are so damn massive, Arthur looks tiny compared to them), but Arabian is just so damn fast. Pre "fast travel from wild camps" days it was by far the best horse to have.
Thank you soooo much!! I just did it a minute ago in chapter 2 following your guide. 😁😁😁 And the Arthur commentary just makes this all even better! Anyways, thank you Partner! 😁🤠
I don't like when games pose this limitations where you can't go to a certain part of the map to explore until the game says so, I dont get why rockstar continues to do that since gta times
Especially since Arthur has the animation and voice lines with other NPC's for Blackwater and other areas in New Austin. He will even draw in his journal when studying points of interest on that side of the map. Rockstar should have given us a remastered definitive version of RDR2 uncut and whole. They could've still had the game end the way it is now.
its for story pacing, they're not trying to satisfy completitionists that just want to do everything with arthur, they're trying to tell a specific narrative that flows, even in GTA, the locations are used as a progression of story
What happened to the river crossing with shallow water? That is the way you go to rescue Sean, I think. That is a ride to blackwater though. Love this content. Keep up the good work partner
Any spot on the map that shows water, will automatically disqualify the challenge if you touch it. Unfortunately, the river crossing to rescue Sean shows as water on the map. There are areas that are water at your location, but does not show on the map as water, Dewberry Creek has many areas like this. The bridge jump path in this video or the long way around Owanjilla Lake (the dam) are the only two ways to get to Blackwater for the challenge without touching water.
@@ErrantJourney so basically Rockstar badly coded this challenge and going through the creek is essentially a loophole. Same logic as following your satnav into a lake because your satnav doesn't know about the lake.
@@Joshua-fi4ji Maybe, but I don't think the coding was bad. I think Rockstar did this for the very reason why people find this so confusing. Is it water? Is it not water? Let's make it to where they will just have to find out on their own. Bottom line is if is is showing up as water, then avoid it. When you test everything you possibly can, you find out there are only two paths to take to Blackwater as Arthur or John for the challenge. I've even seen videos where you can cross the beaver dam with all the wood over the river and still complete the challenge. It's crazy.
Brotherly advice bro ...use bigger horse like the dutch warmblood or a thoroughbred they are high jumper horses...Arabian even MFT are not good in jumping...i know that because i have DW and thoroughbred in early game and they are good horses as well as high jumper ..
Wow! This is one of the best guides out here. Thanks Arthur! It did take me a couple of tries, the first I was really close to the bridge, tried to avoid the wagon but fell down. Second time made it to the bridge jumped but landed to the left so I fell down. Third, keeping in mind so I was little bit to the right and happened the same, fourth, kept it centre but did not time the jump correctly. I gave up for today but tomorrow with much a relaxed I shall do it. Thank you so much for this, for those who have an itch to finish these challenges this is definitely worth and will recommend the same.
This one is easy, you don't actually need to ride to Blackwater. There is peninsula around north of Lone Mule Stead, you only need to reach the tip of the land, it will count.
Damn dude, i got into the video and half way through i had forgotten that you aren't really Arthur. One heck of a good impression, for such a duration too. Nice.
If you really don't wanna get money for the horse, try this, it still works as of December 2023: Go to the valentine stable and put on a bandana. Enter into the back just a bit and start shooting at stuff until you get a wanted level. The stable doors should close locking you inside, and you have to quickly climb into the gate which holds the horse you need. Wait for the wanted level to go away, lawmen may enter the stable but they won't find you where you are. After it's gone, feed the horse until it becomes a temporary horse. Next, exit the stables and take off your bandana, and enter through the back fully this time. Next exit the stables again and the horse should be outside. Take it back into the stables and saddle it so it becomes your main horse. Now you have a free horse. You can do this with any other horse too. Now just level the horse up.
This is my favorite challenge with Arthur. I’ve done it several times on a few different horses. The Arabian horses CAN make that jump but your timing needs to be perfect and you need a bit of luck. I practiced that bridge jump for over a week on loads of different breeds to see which ones can make it. The Arabian was the smallest to make the jump, and Buell was the tallest. In general the taller horses are easier for this challenge, but the big heavy horses are as lousy at it as the smaller ones, so you want tall but not heavily built. My favorites for this challenge are the Turkoman, Thoroughbred, and Buell. Pro Tip. Go as fast as you can until you get to that bridge, then take a pause to feed and tonic your horse and yourself. You’ll have time to spare and you don’t want to die from the snipers on the other side when you’re in the homestretch.
I just did it w an American Standard Breed horse that I got for free in Little Creek River at the North of the “WE”of “West Elizabeth”. Those are wild horses so, could be taken for free. Also, it’s a very good jumping horse; once you I got the trick, didn’t failed one single time( I trid the jump a few times before doing the challenge).Furthermore, if you use a mask, they are gonna wait a little bit longer before start shooting. Hope this could help someone 🤷🏻♂️
I did it in first try using the long route with my turkomam with level 4 bonding.. your horse can't run out of stamina if you keep patting it while riding.. fastest horse + unlimited horse stamina + skills of shooting back at the blackwater hunters = UNSTOPPABLE.
