The best part of this is as John gets more and more obnoxious the laughter from the crew when Artie makes a joke gets louder as they just hate his guts.
Artie won’t even face John. He won’t even look at him. He’s in that mode where you’re so annoyed/disgusted with someone that you can’t even look at then when you talk to them.

Yeah, completely out gunned, nothing he could do. At that point you either get on board, admit defeat and slot into the heirarchy OR you leave. He left, he got that he’s no match but his ego didn’t let him say, wow I’m in the presence of comic giants and turn the mirror on himself and fit in. He’d be more respected if he lent into it, but no. This is why I hate SJ. Artie for the win, sober or not.

Watching John being exposed as the scumbag he is may be the most satisfying thing I’ve ever seen. You get back what you give. He’s getting what he deserves now.

Nobody pointed out the obvious. Screaming "you do heroin!" Is not a joke. If he framed it as a joke it might pass or might seem similar to their mean spirited "jokes".
I swear to god - of all the radio personalities, comics, etc I've listened to over last 20 years - John could be the most pathetic organism of them all. And that includes Opie Hughes.
I know what John forgot- along with most of his life- Artie was saying he was never a radio guy, & he was on the greatest radio show ever, John was never a musician- got a record contract- then got cut off by John and was going to say John was never a comedian & played in the top comedy locations in the country
Stuttering John, Bob Levy, Sal, Richard and Shuli need to be more like Gilbert. Artie totally jokes and bust his balls about how he's a hack with ancient material and him doing old obscure impressions and Gilbert laughs his ass off and hits Artie back with his own funny, ball busting jokes. Artie loves Gilbert and knows he's a genius comedian leagues better then himself so its obvious its just friends joking with each other. But no, all those sensitive guys all take what Artie says personally and get offended. They must deep down know he's right or something. Why can Gilbert laugh it off and know its all in good fun but they can't?
If stuttering nitwit had any confidence in his comedy, he wouldn’t be begging for their approval. He knows he’s a hack. He knows he only gets booked for his former connection to Stern. His Leno gig isn’t even relevant to most people.
