He was a self declared atheist hedonist materialist and a not very nice person. He was an art professor that died of a perforation of the duatum, and was revived back to life. During his unearthly sojourn he went to hell and got to see what its like first hand meeting with the Godless. It was bad. Real bad. Trust me you don't want to go to hell. Its the most heinous, grotesque, horrific, restricting, set of circumstances and it goes on for thousands of generations sometimes.
In other words he lived a very empty life, until he met with Jesus and God, who restored him. If you don't know God sir, I would like to urge you to spend some time in prayer.
