Fix the actual problem (devs HATE straight white men because ESG requires it of them) and the censorship that leads to will cease. Just target the censorship and they will find other way to attack men again and again.
Being a higher up at a company like Sony and to be scared by pixelated sexy bodies and gore must be a miserable existence. To have such concepts live rent-free and make you so bitter is just beyond sad. So yeah, I'm not jealous of the positions Sony put themselves every since they went woke.

"Artist celebrates censorship" How can these people exist? It's like a known code to support all forms of expression when one is an artist. Why are they like this?
Power and control over what others see and do. I've noticed that, regardless of occupation, ideology, or political stance...the more zealous one is about these things, the more authoritarian one's tactics are to that end.

oh boy, without some censorship here and there, you would see that the internet and some people are even more rotten than it seems. Not defending the Stellar Blade case, my take is totally different.
The thing is, it's not just about the outfits and gore being concerned. It's about the hypocrisy surrounding this situation. They falsely advertised the game just to bait and switch us in the last moment. Games like BG3, Cyberpunk and TLOU 2 are getting a free pass, showing excessive nudity, sex and violence. But for some reason, it's too much if a viedo game character shows more cleavage. The double standards are ridiculous. We have to fight against those censorships. Cancel PS plus subscriptions, sign FreeStellarBlade petition , make Shift-Up notice that they have our support for bringing back the uncensored version.
the double standard is easily explained with the nationality of the Stellar Blade's game studio, woke types hate anything coming out of Japan and Korea that isn't wokelized!
agreed with your take, outright. this is an M rated game. if those games could get away with that, then this bait and switch should never have happened.

Interesting statement. I don't necessarily disagree, but just for fun I want to throw in these two cents: this channel and most RU-vid creators censor certain words, as you can see from most of the Twitter screenshots in this very video. That would fall under "tiniest bit."
@@sifayun6336 Bit of an odd example, because the majority of creators that do self-censor come from the fear of being censored by website instead, so the root cause is ultimately the same. A more notable example is cases of self-censorship where sites or businesses don't really have any influence on the product, which is much more of grey area. Personally I'd say if you genuinely believe the specific demographic you're aiming for would like it more when censored, then go for it. Though misreading that can pretty easily cause more harm then good.(in most modern nations, it wouldn't cause that much damage to have both the censored and uncensored options available anyways)
@@NetBattler The sad part about that rhetoric is that it assumes everyone is wholly self-serving. Heck, I'm a MASSIVE cynic regarding the selfish nature of humanity, and even I understand that we aren't 100% selfish. It ALSO assumes that the thing happening didn't happen before, and and that time, the other person WAS directly affected. So, the whole "it doesn't affect you, so why do you care" rhetoric not only assumes complete selfishness, it also assumes a complete lack of empathy and sympathy.
@@2097Pyroscouldn't agree more with you, I also already know every single one of these people's tricks,so if they want to come and reply to me just do it,I'm open right now and come clean, it's useless.
It's so weird porn artists are also weighing in on this, calling people gooners/cookers for wanting this uncensored. Well the ones I've seen mainly draw LGBTQ+ things. So that says a lot.
It's like they want to lose their audience for 1) Weighing on an issue that they nor their audience had no business in. 2) shitting on an attractive character, even tho the point of porn is to use it to attractive characters Literally shooting themselves on the foot. All for the sake of virtue signaling. Pathetic.
Stuff like that can reach dangerous territories but ultimately it's freedom of expression. I feel they should amend this saying so that people are forced to agree with another person than attack them because they don't.
Sony moving to California was their single biggest mistake. Stellar Blade is gonna make them money, but they just couldn't help themselves with not giving their customers what want.
Edit: Upon further digging, it was Nintendo of America supporting a bill that could be used to censor, so not Japan that sparked this off. Point still stands though, never accept censorship of any kind least what you like be censored. Those praising the censorship of Stellar Blade are now freaking out because of a censorship bill in Japan targeting LGBT things. Either you are against all censorship or you must accept that eventually what you like will be censored too.
Adam Ellis is the poster child for artists who lost their relevance for so long that they would do anything to be back in the limelight, yet lacked the spine when it comes to being actually controversial and fold like cheap laundry the moment people push back
He reminds me a lot of Andrew Dobson, who is also a comic artist that ended up losing relevence and resorted to making comics banking on Twitter discourse. He made a lot of comics crying about how women in games and movies are oversexualized and how much he hated men. Though unlike Adam, he eventually left the internet and hasn't been seen since.

They are SO TRIGGERED that we didn't immediately give up and slink back to our basements. We're not going to stop talking about this. It's not going to go away.
And then Sony comes up and says that they love eastern made games. It only takes one look to what Sony did to Senran Kagura on PS4 to know that they are hypocrites.
They probably want to buy them and the studio want to stay independent I think the censorship is sort of revenge and a tactic to acquire them trying to tank the game
If I compose "whose fault is this censorship", I would say 90% Sony and 10% Shift Up. Shift Up is still wrong, but not in the context of censorship, but rather accepting Sony's Exclusive offer.
Didn't shift up want to bring it to the xbox as well but ended dropping it because the micro s'wits demanded for far more egregious and invasive censorship which would've turned the character model into that landwhale that you see in certain videos and turned Eve's face into a fable female face in the latest trailer with the square face and buck-toothed

The people who supports censorship for video games are not gamers. Censorship of video games only leads to piracy and once you get these people to start pirating they will not stop.

I haven't played the game myself, but somehow I knew that it was going to be censored. "Censorship is like telling a man that he can't eat a steak because a baby can't chew it." - Mark Twain
It's wild how the discourse around Stellar Blade runs so similar to that with female Custodes in Warhammer 40k despite the core issue being so different. It's almost like the same people have just insane arguments that can't survive on their own without calling the other side incels, virgins, and angry white men; despite women hand over fist that are in the hobbies coming out and railing against the censorship of Stellar Blade and the cash grabbing pandering of 40k.

This censorship was nothing but a statement. Because it is the most pointless censorship I’ve ever seen by far. Very, very unnecessary. The only way to excuse this is to have an option to switch between the censored outfit and the uncensored one. Forcing censorship into gaming is BAD. But censorship as a choice (Like Bayonetta) should be a preference, not BEING OBLIGATORY.

There's a 1:1 comparison with real life here that I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone mention. Since we're specifically talking about Eve's clothing, couldn't it be compared to ordering an article or costume online and having it arrive, only to find it's not what you ordered? No one would tell you haven't a right to complain and at least return it for a full refund in that case. What so hard to understand about that?
