I like how the production of anime is an actual industry that this animators and a bunch of talented individuals actually do make great shows. Not all animation is for kids, and not all Animation is Japanese. I hate that so many people are just so against Anime and talk bad about a non-Japanese cartoon while doing it. You can like small, cute things and it have nothing to do with it being sexual. Had an aunt who wanted to pop in a DVD for my then young cousins. To her, all animation was for kids so she completely ignored all the shelves of readily available appropriate for kids DVD's I had out in the open... and went into my personal stash to bring out 1 of 3 H DVD's I owned. She set it up for her kids to watch, not even questioning the half-naked woman on the cover. I was the one who got in trouble for having that DVD where my little cousins could 'see' it. Years later, that same aunt destroyed her ADULT, married, son's DBZ collection because we were watching it in the living room with his kids in honor of Akira Toriyama. She was banned from his house, and his kids who love DBZ and anime.

I'm very conservative, a Christian (you could even say fundamentalist), and I've been married over ten years. I'm also a huge anime and video game fan. I rarely play any games that didn't come from Japan, or watch or read anything Western less than 20 years old. But yeah, us anime fans are all x, y, z, and incels. Nuts like this raise so many red flags I can't help but suspect they're projecting. And manga > comics. Hollywood is destroying itself, just like Western comics, game studios, and other media. Japan is an absolute bastion for good media.

Grew up on Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Pokemon, Nintendo games, JRPGs. I always loved Japanese media more than any other. I live in a traditional household, beautiful woman by my side, raising my kid, etc. Most people have no idea I even like anime. I didn't even know what a loli was. I had noticed the smaller, cutesy characters in some shows, but never thought much of it. Never cared what age any of these characters were. Why would I? They are cartoons. None of them are doing anything inappropriate aside from sometimes wearing a skimpy outfit or acting a bit sexy. I've seen a few shows that creeped me out, but 99% of the anime I've seen is fine. It's so infuriating to see the way people treat Japanese media just because it's different. And I don't get why they lump anime and videogames for teen and mature audiences in with hentai and pretend it's the same thing. Of course you are gonna find offensive stuff if you look up the XXX version of it.

I used to watch Gavin McInnes a lot back in like 2016 when he was still with RebelTV, and while I did agree with a lot of things he said, even back then, his takes on popular media were always really idiotic.
