I am a HUGE environmentalist and I just want to say *thank you* for addressing the plastic problem. Not many people are aware of the fact that plastic is killing our marine life, polluting the oceans. The fact that you are pointing that out is incredible. Thank you so much 😄

Makayla Serniotti Precisely. As someone with a disabled mother who benefits a LOT from using a straw, I don't think bans are the solution at all, and are rather ignorant/naive to why they may be needed and is ableist. Has to be another way....

Cam I completely understand this! I know some places provide cardboard straws as an alternative to plastic (though they don’t bend like plastic so that’s not always helpful to those who need that) it would be great to be able to cut down on plastic straws for those who DONT need them, but always have them available regardless for those who do!

Chloe Rose Art I've personally seen some of my friends invest in reusable silicone straws and they LOVE them! It's not a 100% elegant solution since the type of silicone varies, but some variations of silicone are great for this use.

Eeyup they have. They are my worst enemy though. Glue everywhere except for where it is supposed to go and burned fingers got me back to duck tape.

The shaving cream puff paint actually works! My mom uses it with her preschoolers all the time and it makes for some really cute stuff.

How did you get yours glossy? Ours turned out Matte and we used glossy acrylic pain.

9:20 to 9:40ish is GOLD. I have those same thoughts everytime I see a DIY craft video that uses plastic plates/bottles/etc. As an artist who also dives, I've seen the effects of our plastic wastage in the ocean and it is hearbreaking!

I work for the Y and the shaving cream and glue paint actually works! We’ve done it with the kids quite a few times and it makes pretty decent puffy paint!

Yeah but shaving foam is, well, FOAM, it isn't light fast and exposure to heat will make it crack up.

I've actually done the shaving cream paint with my students before! We put glitter in ours but younger kids really love it. Heck, I had a great time with it myself 😂

OH OH OH, if u really want to have your mind blown, search for the cement crafts hacks stuff- Ive seen loads of these lately, and theyre all godawful and just, no, no dont do that please -.- literally theres one where they dip a sock into cement, pull it over a glass bottle and stick a flower in it. love your vids!!!! i found an amazing hack for brusges with dried paint on, put the brush bit in acetone or nail varnish remover and the paint comes of so well and then scrub the brush on a towel and then wash the brush with soap and water to get the acetone off!! the brush goes back to being so soft!!!!!!!! its amazing!

I love you for talking about plastics and it's harm.. not many people realise this!! I do segregation and composting on my own, have bought permanent resusable straw nd also carry them in my bag.. I tell the shop guys "no straw".. they are available in glass, Bamboo, glass etc Also, trying to avoid many other one time plastics as much as possible!
