Thank you for sharing everything you’ve been up to this week Sonia! I just love seeing your messy floor, lol, it always makes me feel more normal, art just overspills everywhere doesn’t it?! Man did I love the first self portrait you made in your 100heads sketchbook, the one with mostly yellow background and some lovely splotches of neon pink/orange over the face! Made my eyeballs so happy to look at! And the gouache landscape you did on your patreon that you say took you a really long time, wow, I loved the colours (lavenders and pinks) and the mark making you made on it! Thanks for the dose of inspiration as always!
Thank you!!! Really appreciate it , know I’ve shown a range of work but this sort of video works for me as I can make a little each day and so feel more authentic talking about it right near the time I’ve made it - plus who knows what I’ll be onto next
Thank you, Sonia! Very inspiring. I think I love the abstract zine and your paintings over the 100 heads the best, this time (I can't draw people yet but I keep working at it). Your use of color in various places over your portraits is marvelous. You've got me testing all sorts of materials in different ways, now.

Thanks for sharing all this wonderful work! I totally get the weirdness of filming and making art. I have found that I really prefer listening to music or a podcast while I work and talking while making art is hard for me. So it makes it extra hard to get an art channel going. 😂
I hear you! -I'm subscribed to you and love your art and content but making videos does require (even unedited ) a fair bit of effort!, and there is also something very nice about being about to go inward and be by yourself in the studio. Plus shutting off the inner critic while making work on camera can be even harder at times , cheers Sonia

Oh thank you! It’s actually why I prefer to make content here rather than Instagram - as I’ve a feeling there are people like us ( maybe a small niche ) and good to have more time to explain why I’m happy now with switching up my genres and materials- feel the whole beauty of being an artist is the freedom to change and try different things - though do appreciate also those who can keep to a style and some people like to keep to improving in one area. Also it’s nice to have free weeks as sometimes I do have to focus on prints or workshop subjects
@@soniabrittain I prefer RU-vid as well. I've even deleted IG from my phone recently. I felt so overwhelmed and like I needed to find a niche while I'm making so many different things. I binge watch your videos since yesterday and even discovered your patreon (which I join). Your work is really inspiring and you seem to have a lot of fun in your sketchbook. It motivates me.
