I think one potential reason might be that we have played this game for so many years. And we don’t have any new pro players in the scene. It indeed feels stupid to introduce them over and over again. It’s more like watching friends episodes to me now
In BW ASL to this day the players get to either pick or have a say in what music plays during their intro. Not exactly the WWE entrance but adds a little personality to see what they choose
Hyped introductions are 100% appropriate in finals or semifinals, when the stakes are high. But not so much in the 1st stages of the tournament I think.
What they do in ASL is fine. A quick intro without the over the top crap. Mirror matchups are probably still needed to into though but not the over the top stuff
