Hi Zachari, Nice video. Great to see how you are sequencing everything. Would you be able to share the custom midi map settings for the Nord 3P please? I am having trouble fully sequencing all the parameters for it. Would be very grateful.

I like these sequences. The drum pattern is also good and relaxed and there's lots of room for the sounds to breathe. I'm the one who gave you some tips for the Moog before. I'd like to give you some more tips for some of these more specific sounds. It just comes down to a matter of taste but this might still be useful. The earlier tips and the tutorial was a template for experimentation and for sound creation. Some of the things I mentioned might not work as well with these sounds here. The sound on the Yamaha seemed like a polyphonic pad-like sound an they're usually best with little resonance or no resonance at all. The resonance really helps you to hear the modulations better and helps to create very specific timbres but also eats some of the low frequencies on some synths. Sometimes it isn't really noticeable like with my Novation Bass Station II and my Teisco S-110F. I also mentioned that it's nice to experiment with the LFO and use it with the filter's cutoff for example. However, the bass sequence with a slow LFO (LFO is just called "modulation" on this synth) isn't the best option. You might want to put the mod wheel at the down position to eliminate the LFO completely. It was a good option when you added more release time with the amp envelope because the bass sequence didn't have busy notes. The notes had lots of space between them, which was a really good sequence for the bass but also for sound experimentation. Adding a reasonable amount of resonance was also a good option here. You can create lots of different bass sounds with the Moog and all of them might be great in their own way. They will still have enough low end. The most interesting things is to let the sound "breathe" a little longer and make it a bit more unique. Sometimes a very simple and plain bass sound still works best with music especially if it has lots of other things going on. Here it can definitely be more unique. There's lots of room for it. Well, It just always depends what kind of music you prefer. Just be mindful about using the LFO (I think it's only usable with the mod wheel by default with this synth) and carefully tune the oscillators. The LFO (modulation) might suddenly be extremely fast by just touching one of the knobs by mistake and you might end up being a bit confused... Been there, done that. :-) So, I really liked the sequenced musical ideas in this video. I'd like to hear them in a song later. Keep on doing what you do and have a wonderful day.

that's pretty awesome what you managed to do there. Very impressive! I have a Yamaha cs6x and an M Audio Venom. Both have mini in/out. Is it possible to do the same or some of these functions using an simple arturia beatstep (not the pro)? Can they be controlled like you did? Also have you managed to control your Yamaha with the arturia knobs? If yes , is it possible to do the same with the simple beatstep knobs and my cs6x?

I used to have the cs1x. I absolutely hate that i sold it. I’m trying to find another one in good condition. The bass in that board was insane.

Great video. But you really want to record/sequence mite than drums and two synths sounds. How to do that on BSPro? Or is it only a3 channel seq?
@ZachariSmith

It’s only a sequencer, but you could sync it with a looping pedal.

i had a cs1x and sold it...i just couldn't figure out how to turn off the drumkit/XG mode...how did you do that??? i'm just about to buy another one after all these years...(i'm gonna hook it up to a separate midi-output on a roland MC-50 sequencer...but maybe wanna use a emu-sampler on the same output...so how am i gonna avoid the cs1x to reciece, or at least be NOT audible on midi-channels i need him to be silent on??? PLEASE let me know...!) BTW, i liked that groove...

Alan just posted a comment on this video on how to turn off the drum kit - I think you go to channel 10 in multi mode and turn it to off. The drums are on midi channel 10. I forgot how I did it but I think Alan is right.
