Dude. Love your videos man. Production breakdowns are on point. More 1975 content! Bought your sound pack - unreal. Watched all your videos - super inspiring. Keep at it brother.
It's only me, but the difference is in behaviour, then it's in tonal characteristics. The box has it's own cool way of separating orig signal with the wet one blends it beautifully. It's the same situation as IR vs real cab. On some gtr parts it can sound almost identical (because of the same imprint) but the technology can't make it to behave the same way. The day engineers copy that from any orig unit will be the day the analog/digital war ends. Great stuff on your channel Seán, keep on!
We're definitely getting closer. I love analogue gear as much as anyone, but tbh, on the mediums that most people listen to music, the convenience of digital makes up for the 1% difference in sound quality IMO! Cheers for watching!
That's it in a nutshell: the blend. One of my favourite sounds involves a DMM (350ms delay, dash of chorus, about 70% feedback, 60% blend) going into an Alesis Midiverb set 100% wet on program 49. I can get close with plugins but the sounds just don't blend together quit as well. It's almost like there's a longer attack with the wet DMM signal when it gets blended with the dry signal compared to the wet digital signal blending with the dry digital signal (shit explanation but I think you'll get what I mean). In terms of wet sound, the Memory Brigade is very impressive. It's going on the Black Friday list. With DMM prices through the roof now, I doubt I'll buy another (I've had 10+ of them in my time).
@@seanmurrayguitar We really are. I'm not the biggest Arturia fan out there but today, running the demo alongside Echoboy and Valhalla Delay, I'm converted.
dude you always have the best content, I feel like I have learned so much from you. I have a request, how do you record bass guitar? I struggle with getting tones I want. currently I use amplitube which sound great on their own, but it doesnt sound like a bass guitar I hear in any modern records. Thanks, brother!!
