@@thegroove2000 The SQ80 V has an arpeggiator, a 4 way effects unit, & a 'delay' feature to the former ASDR waveforms (D-ASDR), which go a long way to make the sound richer. The SQ|80 board is great; however, when run through some reverb & delay, it's sound is much richer. The soft-synth definitely does NOT sound like the dry, straight board for all of these reasons, & a few other 'improvements'. Seems Arturia added some features that, if available at the time, would no doubt have been included in the pioneering SQ|80 board, & in my opinion, that's just great. I've heard one demo that compared a dry patch to the patch run through the effects, & at least through computer speakers- sounded like the SQ|80 to my ears. No doubt, the presets are newly designed from original presets in the SQ|80; however, in another very detailed demo by Arturia, much of the architecture is the same- & easier to work with, vs. navigating all the screens. Look at it like this... a Mustang from the 60's is a cool car- but a modern Mustang is still recognizable as a Mustang, but has some very cool new features. It's really just that simple. I

​@@thegroove2000 Well, I think that if they're going to name it the SQ-80, they should maybe do a side-by-side video comparison for some of it's most well-known sounds, (have they?), so that we can see it does in fact reproduce the sound of the original. Then... move on to this amazing sound that the plugin does so easily (along with the help of a great player!). I would never spend $100 on an exact copy of the SQ-80 in plugin format - it better dang sure do a LOT more! The synth had a break-through interface for the time-period, but there's no comparing that to a plugin's interface, nor what more can be done to improve on the synth these days (limitless! it could have a "Minimoog" version since its also 3 osc/per voice and sound just like it! The sky's the limit). I just think a direct comparison would be a good way to start off the vid, then show how it also goes way crazier. Proud to still own my SQ-80, ESQ-1, EPS 16+ and MR Rack (also with transwaves!). Wish I had a damn Fizmo. Ensoniq was the mouse that roared.

I have the original and I A/B them.. Arturia did a spectacular job!

I mapped 4 macros manuaaly. And then, when I change presets, the macros stay assigned.

It's not about the push2. It's about plugins and ableton, how they exchange the parameters info. E.g., NI massive x automatically prepares all macros for ableton, and all the devices with decent control surfase scripts (like akai apc40 or push) automatically mapped to these macros

Ээмм... Да всегда были платные, с самого начала. Иногда делаю бесплатные, они и сейчас доступны

Никогда. Они не умеют нормальные (точные) эмуляции делать. Софтубы бы смогли я думаю, так же как и U-He. Но Урс никогда к звуку вируса не стремился, как он писал, ему по-барабану это всё.
