This took almost an entire week to dig through, enjoy my tour through my 600+ record vinyl collection 🎬 What record(s) would you steal from my collection?? Help me boost this video; let's push for 2000 LIKES 👍 This is my final time doing a full collection update, and my first since 2019. I've bought (and sold) tons of vinyl since then, and now that I'm pretty much satisfied / 90% done with the records I wanted. Appreciate you watching, share it out with another collector
I’m gonna go ahead and say the only bands I have every proper album by are Metallica, AC/DC, Slipknot and Temple of the Dog. If you pretend Motley Crue stopped making music after Dr. Feelgood then I have all theirs too 😂😂😂
Hey Jon! Just wanted to let you know that these videos videos are the reason I started collecting vinyl in 2021. The first video I watched on your channel was the 2019 full vinyl collection video and I’ve been watching all the collection videos since. My vinyl collection already has around 200 records and it’s still going strong. Thank you Jon for these awesome videos! Also, the White Album transition at 41:23.
2:58 I mentioned Don Caballero in one of your streams before, Ian Williams, the guitarist of Battles, was in Don Caballero for 4 albums before leaving and starting Battles, hope that makes u interested in checking Don Cab out, basically the godfathers of math rock also I want Mirrored a lot it's so good
I remember you did one of these a few years ago and it got me into SO many artists, so thank you for that. I only have like 15 records, all of which were gifts from over the years, so hopefully I'll stop being so cheap someday and actually start collecting some!
I know not everyone loves One More Light but you should still get it to complete the Linkin Park studio albums!........plus Reanimation wouldn't hurt either 😉
Is there any reason iDKHOW wasn’t in this one? I know the drummer did some messed up things but I’m just curious if that’s why it seems to be absent here
Idk if the Collecting All The Things instinct is a general human thing or if it's more pronounced in autistic people but boy do I feel it too, and this video scratches that itch vicariously. The only barrier between me and an extensive vinyl collection is money. But right now I still prioritize CDs for as long as I have a car with a CD slot.
This is how you do a vinyl collection so perfectly! I really enjoyed looking at the details on those records, especially the Blink-182 ones given that they're my favorites. Also like to thank you for the timestamps because I'm not skipping around trying to find a part. Great collection, great video! 👍
Thank you for all the work you’ve put in with these collection videos over the years. Some of my fave content has been these! So much appreciated over the years man. SOOO jealous over the decemberunderground pressing in particular. Been hoping we get a repress soon 😭
John this can’t be how I found out you didn’t like the new Microwave album it was so sonically rich and a perfect followup to Death Is A Warm Blanket 😭 (Incredible video, by the way-you and Hannah’s vinyl videos were in constant rotation when I started collecting!)
Hey I don’t NOT like it 😝 it’s just that due to space/$$$/etc, I only buy vinyl I *really* like or else love. As of now I’m feeling like a 3.5/5 on LSD. Thanks for the love, glad you’ve enjoyed our vinyl vids all these years!
Very effective and fun way of presenting your collection. Definitely looks like you put a lot of work and dedication to it. I enjoyed every minute of it!
Since you don’t wanna do full collections anymore would you do updates every few months or when you end up getting enough for an update occasionally? You already have 600+ which is dope but regardless lol
Hmm. I’m gonna go with “sing the sorrow” - AFI. I’d had my eye on it since I started collecting in 2012. Took me 9 years but I got an OG pressing! (And then they repressed in 2023 after saying they weren’t going to lmao)
It’s funny how I also have 3 Jimmy Eat World albums on vinyl…. But they’re 3 different albums from the ones you have! (Clarity, Bleed American, and Static Prevails) Goes to show how amazing their discography is 😂
You should check out the album “Misery Is A Butterfly” by Blonde Redhead, it’s such a beautiful album and it’s one of my main 3 sad albums I like to listen to. The other two sad albums I love being “Pinkerton” by Weezer and “October Rust” by Type O Negative
It’s great! I just discovered it last year, a viewer sent in two of their songs (1 from this album) on stream and I checked out a few of their albums. Butterfly is probably my favorite as of now
Your copy of the self titled blink 182 looks great not a huge fan of the band but I love that album mine is standard black but it's a good pressing from src. Love when the colour record goes with the cover art or the sound of the album if that makes sense - if it's say a dark blue cover or the music has darker themes and the record is neon yellow for instance I don't get that. Feel as though the band / record label just asked which colour was cheap. Would also say watch out with devotion from beach house I have a really nice looking gold white brown clear record (looks good with the cover haha) but the last track on side D is unlistenable sounds like someone is blasting white noise through it sadly. Check discogs if you decide on that and make sure you get one of a fixed one [: I think once twice melody might be my favourite from them now though you know. Especially if edited to a 50 minute / 10 track album.
I have them on CD. I don't think I will be getting any of their albums on vinyl. I could, yes, but I want to focus on getting from bands I don't have yet. I do however have about all the vinyl by The Kinks, with the exception of their last album, and The Moody Blues, with the exception of the last 3 albums. Their 90s material is hard to find and I don't think I will ever find it. And the Christmas album, which is actually really awesome. I don't have the debut, but I'm hoping to add that to my collection. That was before The Moody Blues had their sound signature sound with Days of Future Passed.
I don't collection 45s at all. My grandma got rid of a bunch of her records, so I brought some home. Some highlights I have are The Beatles Yesterday, Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline, Devo's Whip It, Elvis' Can't Help Falling In Love, Jimmy Dean's Big Bad John, Barry McGuire's Eve of Destruction, The Drifters' Under the Boardwalk, and Petula Clark's Downtown. My grandma also had Rickie Nelson (she liked him more than Elvis. You were either Team Elvis or Team Rickie). I also got Cliff Richard and the Shadows' Bachelor Boy. I love the B side more in particular with True True Lovin'. Basically Cliff Richard was the British version of Elvis, which he was very popular from 1958 til 1963 when The Beatles were taking over, in particular the UK before coming to America. Cliff Richard & the Shadows, his backing band were still very popular though. Cliff Richard had 14 #1's between 1959 and 1999. So yeah I don't by 45s. They're awesome, don't get me wrong and I'm not bashing any of you that are buying 45s. Do whatever you want. But I agree with Jon on the fact that I have to get the full album on vinyl. I forgot to mention I also have Sgt Barry Sadler's The Ballad of the Green Berets. That song was famously used in John Wayne's The Green Berets.
I think I been collecting since 2019 and I already have like 33 vinyls. Most expensive one I own was like 300 dollars it was Coconut Records Davy that was how high bid went. Coconut Records 2 vinyls can go anywhere from 100-1k dollars they are that rare but hearing 3rd album happening. Somewhere I know my mom said she has her original Queen A Day at the Races vinyl
aw HELL yeah you have Grace!!!!! Been on a jeff buckley kick lately and came to this video to see if you were a fan too since I couldn't tell if you had mentioned him in any of your videos before, what a pleasant treat.
