Artvark Saxophone Quartet - STNKS 

The 3rd single of the album is called ‘STNKS’, composed and played by Artvark, produced by Bart Wirtz. On Mother of Thousand, in contrary to the classical and traditional jazz sonic tradition, we wanted to explore different recording and production techniques. But we felt it should still feel like saxophone quartet music. So we decided to only use the saxophone as the source of our sounds. On STNKS we turned the saxophone into a percussion instrument, drumming on the keys and using air to make the groove. The alto solo by Bart is recorded with an iPhone.
