I really like what you did with Bede. In the games him getting recruited by Opal feels like it comes from out of nowhere especially since he never challenged her gym. This version gives more of a reason why it actually happens and I really enjoy it.

I like how the hardships and losses Ash is facing here is more to do off the increased stress of keeping up his perceived strength as a Champion. It’s different from Kalos where he focuses mostly on Greninja, and how Sawyer was the only true rival who made Ash doubt himself.

I can understand why Ash is struggling. The hype around him being the first ever Alolan league champion and even being the regional champion of Alola is putting a lot of pressure on Ash. He feels that he has a reputation to uphold and his recent losses and the remarks from Bea and Raihan make that harder to maintain. However, I believe that Ash will realize that, yes, he is the Alolan league champion, he is only the champion in Alola. Galar is not Alola; it is its own unique region with new Pokémon, trainers, battle styles and gimmicks, and challenges. He should still be proud of his achievements in Alola, but should not let them define him in Galar. It’s a whole new adventure, and while it’s healthy and okay to feel disappointed with your losses, it shouldn’t break you down.

I feel like Ash struggling now is similar to how Sawyer was catching up and ended up defeating him. Although I am sad Ash lost, this is good for more growth for him and his Pokemon. Well done as always Zac. Kudos to Hop for defeating Bede

@@LiannaBella-eq4hx yeah. Like this is basically the inverse of the Kalos league finals. There Ash went down in a respectable fashion but the outcome was what everyone got so mad about In the masters eight, we all knew Alain was going to lose since Leon had to advance to the finals to face Ash, but the problem is HOW Alain lost. Like champion or not, the 6th strongest trainer in the world should NOT be losing this easily to anybody. Not even the queen Cynthia who iris, despite being ranked LOWER than Alain, was able to hold her own against in a close fight

I like how Ash is actually struggling with keeping up with his friends since he’s now the Alolan Champion, so he needs to keep up his training if he doesn’t want to be seen as a pushover. He may be the champion of Alola, but that shouldn’t mean he’s done with his training just yet and needs to keep himself focused if he plans to take on the Piers in Spikemuth and later Raihan in Hammerlock castle. Amazing episodes and looking forward to seeing the battle against Piers.

I was actually rooting for hop during the tournament,he did so much better than before, I'm impressed by how much stronger he's gotten. He made it to the semifinals,got revenge on bede,and defeated ash. And speaking of ash,he seems to be struggling,but you know ash,he turns his struggle into training and getting stronger.

I love the usage of Magic Powder. Wishes Gary used that VS the Regis since it had Brutal Swing. This tournament is the perfect bridge for Bede getting under Opal's wing with a well paced manner. Victor being present is a nice touch and I love how Hop is now more calm and collected in battles. I like possesion Ash is in because now he's feeling the pressure of everyone coming for him. Being on the top can be lonely but it can also get crowded since it's a beaten path easy to climb to.

That tournament made a great filler arc. It gave As a chance to see how strong the other trainers got. Maybe in the next video, we'll see Ash traveling to the Isle of Armor and do some rigorous training like Hop did. Who knows, if that's the case, maybe Kubfu will evolve into Urshifu in the process.

I predict that Ash and Hop will face Piers together in a double battle while Pierce recruits Marnie for the double battle to test her to see if she is ready to be the spikemuth gym leader. Not only would it not be repetitive for just Ash and Hop to just have individual 1v1’s but it would show how close Hop is to Ash by working together.

My guess for Hop's 3 Pokemon that he used to sweep Gordie were: Sirfetch'd & Wartortle. The third Pokemon is a bit tough to pick... I doubt he used Boltond and despite knowing Double Kick; Raboot is weak against fire. He could've used Rhydon to attack with ground moves on the Rock opponents. However, Dubwool knows Reversal which is super effective. My guess is Dubwool since he'd use Cotton Guard to boost its defense against his physical attack using opponents. Which Pokemon do you think Hop used as his final team member against Gordie?

Good set of episodes. I liked Bede vs Hop and Hop vs Ash. These shown how Hop has improved, it was good for him to beat Bede. I'm sure Ash will get better by training with his Pokemon more.

Following Zac's criteria of only official battles being counted Pikachu: 11 Wins, 6 Loses, 1 Tie (64%) Thwackey: 7 Wins, 5 Loses, 1 Tie (57%) Corviknight: 9 Wins, 6 Loses, 0 Ties ( 60%) Drednaw: 7 Wins, 4 Loses, 0 Ties (63%) Centiscorch: 4 Wins, 3 Loses, 1 Tie (56%) Kubfu: 5 Wins, 1 Loss, 0 Ties (83%)

My favorite episodes have to be 85 and 87. 85)I loved the battles involving Ash and Hop. I especially loved it when Hop FINALLY defeated Bede. 87)I did love the fact that Ash is feeling concerned. I don’t know if anyone else feels this, but I almost feel that Ash has a target on his back. I also couldn’t help but wonder if Ash will go through a solo journey or even a good depression arc. Overall, I’m looking forward to more of this series and more great content!

Honestly it's difficult for me to pick a favorite episode. I really enjoyed the entire tournament. I love the fact that characters like Victor, Avery, and Klara competed. If I must pick a favorite episode, it would be episode 85 because I was happy to see Ash use Corviknight to get a win in the tournament along with seeing Hop defeat Bede. I was also thrilled to see Hop win the whole thing. The only thing that disappointed me was Gloria having such a poor performance. I really wished she would have done better, because she didn't make it far last time either. But hopefully she'll do better next time. Overall, a solid batch of episodes. Easily my favorite so far.

you know galar May not have gotten that much representation but it still got more than legends arceus, that game got Jack representation only a handful of Pokémon from that game showed up so maybe is a future project you could try a legends atceus series, it’s not like time travel is out of the question it’s appeared in the Pokémon anime before
