I dont think there was anyone who was this pitch perfect in his/her 90s.She is a miracle and a phenomenon, I hope she stays healthy and keep on singing forever,.. Ye log dubara nahi aayenge,.. Shayad pata nahi ab kitni sadiyan beet jaayengi par Lata jee aur Asha jee jaise singers nahi aayenge

Asha Ji's interview a mile stone in Indian musical history. BUT can't understand how Rajdeep thought he could even think of singing her songs "in her presence" . I wish he had fulfilled his fantacy of singing with her off the screen and not tortured us.

Asha Tai and Latha Tai are truly legends of our time and we can only consider ourselves lucky to be born in her era. She and Yesudas Sir are unique legends who are beyond human comprehension and both of them truly deserve to be given Bharat Ratna. I want our Government not to delay the Bharat Ratna to both these legends. We are puny human beings and we cannot even comprehend or comment on these legends who have acheived so much in life and who are still so humble even today. What a photographic memory to remember events which have happened 60-70 years back.

I agree with you. Indeed the highest civilian award Bharat Ratna should be awarded to the legendary Asha Bhosle by the Government of India in recognition of her contribution to Indian music for eight decades. I can candidly say that no one is comparable with her due to her magical voice rendered in all sorts of songs. Really Asha Ji, my most beloved and favorite singer, is a versatile genius. I pray to God to keep her fit both mentally and physically for long long years. Best wishes.

@@b.chatterjee true. Some truly undeserving people were given Bharat Ratna such as MG Ramachandran, Bhupen Hazarika, Bhimsen Joshi, Pranab Mukherjee got this award whereas Mohammed Rafi, Asha Bhosle, Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and P. Susheela truly deserved this.

The concept and the interview especially the concept was excellent. Had it been an interviewer who was more knowledgeable in music & could sing a little. The interview would have been much better. Rajdeep your uncomfort was visible through out the interview. It was really surprising for me to see you like that as you are a king of your trade. But I must commend you to having given us this treat with Ashaji. For me she is the most versatile singer of the golden era and even now. Thank You 🙏

Another feather in your cap , Rajdeep . Illuminating interview. Your love for music and sports are your forte. Showcase your cultured background. Asha Bhosle too is awesome, mindblowing retaining her magical, mesmerizing voice. My only regret. You did not focus on the contribution of O.P.Nayyar as much as we wished. One cannot deny the immense contribution of O.P.Nayyar in shaping Ashaji's career in the formative stage of her illustrious career . Regards to both of you. Rajdeep and Asha ji

In all the interviews of Asha I've seen (and some live shows also), she always avoids talking much about her true mentor OP Nayyar. Whatever the reason for the rift between them, it is unfair to see Asha understating the role of OP Nayyar in shaping her early career. If you ask a true connoisseur of Hindi music, out of the top 10 songs of Asha, at least 6 will be OP Nayyar songs. Similarly, she gives much less importance to Mohammad Rafi than he deserves, and more to Kishore. Asha has sung more than 800 duets with Rafi, some of them the most classic romantic duets in Hindi cinema. But she almost dismissed Rafi as a "serious" man who "did not talk much"
