Hi Asha, I just want to say thank you for sharing your journey with us. Like most of us in the west we have no idea how beautiful SA is. SA is at the top of my list for future travel, thanks so much 😊
Not soo bad...it happened once when I was in the mall but the generator kicked on...and again over night while I slept so I really wasn't impacted by it.😀
Peace. Glad to see you are sharing your SA experience. Came back to America last week. What area are you in? I see you have a long term unit like Millicent.
Yes...I saw it in those stores as well...and I just love it!😄 In the US the stores that sell the healthiest and freshest foods are usually in neighborhoods where you don't find too many melanated people.
Well Asha I've been following your videos. Just out of interest in what a recent immigrants perspective might be of this country. I've visited rural Ohio in 2006 and wasn't too impressed, though some of the locals assumed I should be seeing that I'm from Africa. Cape Town is and was way more interesting and developed than this town. I think some Americans have a way too high regard for themselves and their country. No wonder Trump called us shithole countries. Well I'm following you to see how your perceptions and perspectives develop. Take care
Yeah, U.S. (western) media continues to distort the image of our beautiful Motherland, but thanks to social media the truth is beginning to shine through...
Thank you Mike!😊 For toooooo long "Western" societies particularly African Descendants from the "slave trade" for generations have been lied to about Africa...well, now thanks to social media...WE get to change the narrative and show that Africa with over 54 countries, is a beautiful and amazing destination to visit, live and do business.☺ I feel, NO country should really make the claim of being "First World" when EVERY country has "First" and "Third" world living standards. I've seen soo many "Third World" communities in the US and soo many "First World" communities in Africa. 💕🌍💕
Hi Asha .... I love how you can walk to the supermarket. You have all the amenities at your door step. Reminds me of New York. What part of Johannesburg is your apartment in? Is this an Air B&B ?
@@ashameanslife5963 I loved it!! Thank You so much for responding. I hope to take a trip to South Africa this year with my son. I want him to see he has other options outside of the United States.
Greetings Sista , This is a wonderful show with excellent content.I am interested in visiting SA soon. I would like to ask a few questions. Do you have an email address?
😄😄😄I thought it was the coolest thing!...I've never seen this in my neighborhood grocery stores...in the US, one would have to go to a cultural neighborhood or specialty store...but here, it's readily accessible in a regular grocery store.😊
I was there during the summer months. December, January, February...some days were nice cool 60's...some hot 80's...some rainy 60's...but never cold enough to where you'd need a coat. I shopped for groceries at Woolworths every week. The grocery stores have a Whole Foods look and feel but prices of Publix, Kroger, Ralph's, Von's.☺
