Me and my wife are middle school sweethearts. We broke up when she moved away. Years later we got back together and now she my wife. We just welcomed our son into the world six months ago 🙏

I left my boyfriend after 4 years together and told him that he needs time to grow up. We both dated other people during our breakup but he still texted me every day. We got back together after 1 year apart and have now been married for 9.5 years. Sometimes you have to leave them before they realize you were the best thing that ever happened to them.

Unfortunately I have gotten back with an ex and it was one of the worst decisiones I’ve ever made in my life.

My mom and dad was separated half my life but got back together and died happily married so this notion that it don’t works is not entirely true the aspect of till you die is real a couple may live 80 years together but not all 80 years will be good. I met this boy when i was 19 - we dated for 2 years 20 years later we reconnected and it was like the first time - the love was beautiful. It felt like coming home, like i finally found my home . He had kids , i never had kids so i was happy to have them in my life. Sadly he got diagnosed with cancer a few month ago wich made our relationship very complicated and caused us to separate. i have never been this heartbroken in my whole life. i feel like the 2nd time hurts even more.

Tbh if both people do the work and focus on becoming a better person I think there’s nothing wrong with returning to an ex. You have to heal and LET GO of any past trauma before that’s possible tho

I used to be against spinning the block. I haven’t but I get it. Especially if the break up wasn’t bad or a maturity issue, and sometimes you meet ppl at the wrong time.

Hopefully Ashanti has him on a countdown…6-8 months to get to KNOW EACH OTHER in this stage of each of their lives…then a marriage proposal needs to happen or they need to go their separate ways for good. Homeboy wouldn’t be wasting my time.

I don’t do the break up and make up thing. We’re gonna stay together and work things out and if it doesn’t work then we’ll move on, once I move on there’s no going back. I put my all into my relationships, so when I move on I know I did the work to make it right and there’s no need to go back.

What works for others don't always work for you.

My ex wife cheated after 20+yrs of marriage and 2 kids. She left me and took my kids away.. I was homeless for 2yrs I started all over and built 2 businesses and now she wants back in…. She says God called her back after she moved a man into her home with my kids… she forgot it was God that wouldn’t let me sleep on Valentine’s Day when I checked her phone that night.. so.. no spinning the block on this end… at all.

I was never into getting back with exes or previous flings. I never spun the block. I only like to move forward. Now you're just a stranger with memories. Also, I've never had a connection that strong with someone in the past to even toy with possibly wanting to mess with them again. We're over for a reason and that's it.

I did with one Ex 32 yrs apart. I thought he had changed but Nopeee same devil, different level of devil. So lesson learned.

Time by itself is not what heals all wounds... It is what you do DURING that time (like doing healing work within...inner child trauma, projected beliefs from childhood, etc)... is what matters. Once BOTH people do that, and come back together, it can work. The problem is, people like to blame the other person for what they did/didn't do, not realizing that person was mirroring the trauma you refuse to heal within. You expect different results just bc time has passed, without doing the work. In the end, you end up repeating the SAME karmic lessons with different people... different wrapping paper, but the gift remains the same. The issue is NEVER one person's fault... At bare minimum, you taught them how to treat you which stems in the hosts example she gave, from being a people pleaser /seeking validation at all costs (again, UNhealed inner child trauma that person was mirroring back to you for you to heal). You teach people how to treat you. That's what makes relationships so special... People will either trigger you to heal by showing you what shadow work you need to do, OR be HEALING (where BOTH people have self awareness, can call themselves out on their OWN bs, and their partners and know how to do do shadowwork. You can only love someone to the extent that you love yourself.

We gotta stop one size fits all with relationship for real. Just because something didn't work for one couple in relationship, doesn't mean it won't work for another couple in relationship. It truly is a case by case situation. Me and my wife dated in high school. We went our separate ways after. Ten years later reconnected for a short time, but didn't amount to anything. Six years after that we reunited, and have been married now going on seven years. So spinning the block worked for us!!!

I actually divorced my husband, and swore I would not deal with him again on a romantic level although we had always been able to remain social, and or cordial. However sometimes you can’t doubt change, plus once you see what’s out there then your almost like dame what is there to lose so after 11 years we are back together.

Why would you let something/someone go that you love? If you love someone, do all you can to keep it because there is no chance they will come back if you "let them go".

I never spin the block, once it’s done it’s done and in fact a waste of time. Most times the other person coming back because they have no other options and the grass was not greener on the other side. If someone spin the block on you you’re a second option, if not the last.

There's no 1 ex I can think of that gives me the thought of reconciliation. Some of them were great ppl so I'll never come for their character but it didn't work and ended for a reason. The guy I'm seeing now, its a bit rocky, plus we are casual and not serious, the guy I end up with is more than likely someone I haven't even met yet, who knows!

People today have no discernment. One of the things I ask God for is Wisdom and Good judgement.

The reasons of why they are your ex matters. As i'm sure many in the comment will say it really depends. Sometimes it takes some growing up, realizing what you had, or being in a better place or state of mind. Often those are worth wild reasons to return as long as the relationship wasn't toxic to begin with.

It's mostly due to lack of perceived options aka hypergamy. Anyone I see with their ex again I first think that they couldn't do any better than who they had. There's literally more people in our human population & single people at that than ever, combined with social media and access to people across the country so Idk how you end up with the same person. 💯

I read through some of the comments and I look at what other people felt they needed to say in regards to someone else’s shared experience and it never fails you find the same negative troll’s commenting on people whom may have said something positive or that they don’t agree with. It’s like they don’t have a life. For me comments are left because you have an experience you want to share, something to add to what to seen or heard, or the person posting the video ask a question at the end of the video for viewers to share or interact. It just seems senseless to speak on a persons personal life experiences they expressed as if one knows them or what they are attempting to say.
