Yeah me too. Ive always found that opponents that arent used to Ashling struggle playing against it. Its just a very unique commander and I love every bit of it. I have spent some time really trying to upgrade the deck after not really touching the deck for probably 5 years in paper, now ive tried to push the power a little. it will never be a turn 6 combo deck but it can still be very respectable.

Yeah Dmanys is also very strong. Ive played it against it a number of times and its always a rough matchup. I was lucky here that we got to shut down the coffers, and he didnt catch much card draw. But ive seen him have the game more or less locked up by turn 5 or 6 before.

Lol nice. Be prepared for very little success. Ashling is one of those most mana hungry decks ive ever played and a land a per turn just isnt gonna do for most settings. Ye be warned :)

I have around 9 or 10 boros decks built currently. Only 1 or 2 of them have the really expensive cards though.

@@CommanderReplay I have an expensive iroas deck that you played on the channel a couple years ago, an expensive aurelia deck, a bruenor battlehammer peasant deck and a budget commander liara portyr deck which has turned out to be very very fun. Excited to see what you have built

You raise a good point. It would seem so. But theres also the whole, if you have a doubler down dont play it line of play. Or the hope someone else will eventually shoot it cause its bothersome to them. Ill continue to test it out and see if its a helper or a hindrance.

@@CommanderReplay I mean it looks hilarious and I want it in a few decks to annoy the combo player in the group. No infinite mana for you! I'm always leery of nonbos in a deck, like rest in piece if you've got any recursion, too often I end up screwing my self harder than the rest of the table inadvertently.

Maybe! Im just getting settled in again after getting back from vacation, so I need to plan out what things I want to film before the next set drops. Ive seen some people asking about this one, so strong maybe.

Yes, yes it does. Though Ive told some stories about it already. Last year at GP Vegas everyone was playing some brand of U/x value at the game. There was a Scarab God, Aminatou, and Aesi. And through a long slugfest i was able to take the win. And when I sent for lethal on the last player (aminatou) he just extended his hand knowing that it was a great game and that I got there as a pretty big underdog. Easily my favorite game of that weekend from roughly 25-30.
