Vocation in Life: Photography
Ashoo Sharma completed a 4-year Diploma in Applied Arts and took up photography as a full-time vocation. A trained artist who is very well versed in the technicalities of photography, Ashoo Sharma has easily made the transition from film and transparency film photography to the digital medium. He has a number of solo and joint photo-exhibitions under his belt and has been an active contributor to various travel and general interest magazines. Presently working as, a Medical Photographer in one of the country’s largest Government run hospitals, Ashoo Sharma has been constantly honing his perceptual and technical skills. And this effort shows in the aesthetic and sound photography that he has been consistently doing over almost two decades.
Education
1991, Photography Diploma from Padamshri, Shri T.Kashinath.
1994-1997, Four-year diploma in Applied Arts from Shilpa Bharti Institute of fine arts and craft, New Delhi, affiliated with Directorate of College Education Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur, Rajasthan.

• 2009, 31st August, attend as an expert (photographer and artist) WHO workshop on finalization of Factsheets on the role of Physical Activity towards preservation of NCDs at Department of physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi.
• 2009, Participate an International exhibition “The World at Night-TWAN” of Astro-Photographs of heritage sites in the backdrop of the night sky at the ‘Sky Theater at Nehru Planetarium’, New Delhi, only astrophotograph from India to be included in this exhibition that contains stunning astrophotography taken by worldwide experts, Organized by Nehru Planetarium, New Delhi.
