In this episode, we're in Kyrgyzstan. We camp on the beach at beautiful Issyk Kul, Yak has trouble starting and then we tackle one of our favourite tracks of the trip over boulder fields and mud in the mountains of Altyn Arashan.
Wheel spacers add a lot more stress to your wheel bearings, as the load is not carried evenly over the bearing. There's an 8 part series of engineering level videos on "Defender mods and travels" on RU-vid about why axles break on overlanding vehicles. Worth the watch. A cheap volt meter in the car will allow you to constantly monitor alternator function. Nice to see you unphased by the issues and happily motoring along.
Kyrgyzstan looks like a beautiful country. Hopefully i can visit it someday. It was great to see Nikolai again, i've also seen him before on GrizzlynBear.
What a spectacular track and beautiful scenery along that track also . Great to see that you stoped at the same shop as grizzly & bear did . Great guy . Cheers from Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A. :):) 😁👍🏼
How lovely videos you make🤩! What's the name of that beautiful gravel road in the valley? We'd love to go there some day for our honeymoon trip ^^ greetings from two Swiss adventurers
