Because it is only an OPV

OPV´s role is more Coast Guard than Navy, no need for weaponry beyond a few Guns and MGs.

@@practicalmind8337 The OPV are designed to counter pirate Chinese Fishing Vessels that constantly fish in Philipine Territorial waters, they are not suposed to fight the PLAN, should the PLAN enter territorial waters, then you are confronting a diplomatic incident and that is no role for OPVs!

@@Devaraja67 in that case phil is no need to prioritized opv, what they need now is stronger like frigate and corvette, giving much highly power to protect soverignty against china abusive manner
