I can't be the only one who thinks AKG is the greatest band of all time. If I'm feeling down their music makes me feel better and if I'm feeling good then all I can do is shout along to just about any song they've made.

It's really funny how I stumbled upon it; one of my parents knew about my fascination with anime and picked it up for seven dollars in a movie clearance section in some store - can't remember which now but I remember looking at it like 'what the heck is this--' the art style was so bizarre. Very good movie, though - funny how things come together / are presented in grasp sometimes.
First heard this group because I loved watching anime. Full Metal Alchemist (Rewrite) and Naruto (Haruka Kanata) themes. Then I looked into more of their music, and loved even more of their songs.

11 years ago, every time I heard this song, I remembered the girl I had a crush on. Gosh, she was so beautiful and sweet. Wasn't into me, though. Sad but true.
This has to be the greatest song in my opinion. The instrumentals, vocals and video all just work so well together. Cannot get enough of this song and haven't been able to for the last 4 years since discovering it.

Angelo Cipollaro I don't see how using chords and double stops makes it an "emo structure". Granted, a lot of emo bands from the 2000s used that note playing frequently, it doesn't make it emo. A lot of indie/alternative rock bands were very chord based as well.
"Emo" is interchangeable with "Math rock" as far as guitar chords are concerned. It's not a derogatory thing. "Emo" originally meant emotional hardcore. Mainstream 2000's gave it a negative connotation. That being said, emo music of that time period was pretty dope too. I get what you mean man, some of their playing is so simple yet sounds so amazing.
What's the meaning of this song? I tried looking at the translated lyrics, but the only conclusion I could come to is that it's a love song. The narrator seems to have grown weary/bored of life, but then meets another person that could beautify the narrator's life. The crow in a cage & jellyfishes in an aquarium seem to support this as well, both being symbolisms of a trapped person in a big world (hence why the cage sits in the middle of a road and the aquarium on a table overlooking the city). But then, the bird cage got set on fire and the aquarium got blown to pieces. Can someone who understands Japanese tell me the meaning of this song?
This song is everything to me, the emotions I feel are so energetic but at the same time sort of sad, not saying that I feel down but there is some hope when I hear this song. AKFG will always be my all top favorite Japanese band. ❤️
2020, when Covidiot attack this world, I feel better when listen to this song again. This song gives me vibes how nostalgic I am when I still in high school in 2008 also gives me some energy to live. Thanks AKG for your song. Aru Machi no Gonjou one of my favorite songs from their works.

Wow, I've listened to this song for the longest time, but never saw the music video. Their sense of aesthetics is just overpowering to me, the music and the video, I love it.
Kyyaaahhh...!!! -INSERT HYPER EXCITED NOISES- I cannot believe that I found this band by pure coincidence! I had gotten off work and decided to stop by Vintage Stock to browse for some anime movies and found Tekkonkinkreet. I had no idea what it was and I liked the art style and decided to buy it out of curiosity. I enjoyed the movie very much and when the ending song came on, I fell in love. They are such an amazing band and it's a shame that I just now found them. I cannot stop listening to their songs. -hyperventilates-
Listening to this song after the credits of Tekkon Kinkrett was something else. First time listening to a AKFG and from then I have always been a fan of all their songs.
The only song I heard first because of media was Rewrite, because of FMA. Since then, I've always searched for their music, and some songs sent me on quests for movies or animes... or I just casually found a song I already knew in something I was watching just because (like Haruka Kanata in Naruto). I love them for them, their music and stories, and that adds on to whatever I'm watching, not the other way around.
That main vocalist... Reminds me of David Grohl because of his vocal and his way of his singing (Even his hairstyle reminds me of his younger days though)...
