I cant pick a more fitting song to end BTR with. Knowing the whole thing was a homage to AKFG and the entire band culture. Truly a masterpiece both AKFG and BTR!
Agreed! Very touching and poignant track choices and references, this track in particular is just nostalgia overload. Hearing those first few notes in the anime was a major tearjerker.
@@miscellaneousmedia3753 It's even better thant that. It's sung by Bocchi's VA, as if it was Bocchi singning. And bocchi being bocchi, she sounds a bit flat and frail at the start of the song. And as the song goes along she finds the right pitch and puts a bit more power in it as if she'd get more confortable in her role. They did an amazing job on that cover.
When the kessoku band walked out of the guitar store and the guitar strumming began, I just couldn’t contain my excitement. Did not expect to hear an AKFG cover at the end of “Bocchi The Rock.” I can’t say I’m surprised when both bands have a Gotoh-san, and other members respectively. Here’s to a season two
The author also said that this song was the very inspiration for Bocchi's character, and could not think of any other. It was the perfect way to end the show of the season and one of the strongest contenders for anime of the year.
I was in TEARS when the song started playing! And add the fact that it was Yoshino Aoyama that was singing made it all the more better and more emotional. I never felt so empty before after the season ended ugh.

I cant imagine the feeling of excitement you guys are going through, that must've felt amazing. For my case, I watched it, i felt the song is pretty good, searched for the original song, and now I'm listening to it every single day. But I would prefer to experience the first aforementioned, like how you guys did. Anyway, so glad that I found AKFG.

when I saw AKFG in the end credits I just thought they took part in composing the music, didn't know the end credits song was a cover of this. Bocchi the Rock is a masterpiece, I love it so much. Hoping the manga becomes a huge success and a 2nd season is announced in the future!

Bocchi the Rock used this song, my favorite from AKFG, as the title for their last episode AND made a cover for the ending as well. A show and a crew that respects such great artist as AKFG is a crew I feel deep respect for
Episode 1 and 12 combined makes up the full title of this song (with a word replaced by Bocchi of course) and every episode other than Episode 8, which was named Bocchi the Rock, is based on an AFKG song as mentioned above.
This is one of akfg’s heavily underrated songs that I love as the lyrics really hit close to home. So glad that Bocchi The Rock brought this song back to light and with their beautiful rendition too
AKFG and BTR is the reason I still love to play guitar, drums and bass. They re-lit what I lost when I was 16. I miss my band, and their music allows me to peacefully reminisce my past when I was in a band. I never felt more like myself than anywhere else besides music. The music that AKFG and BTR has created hits close to me more than any other genre I've listened to. They make me love rock even more than how much the younger me did listening to Blink-182, Green day, Iron Maiden and Red Hot Chilli Peppers combined.
Imagine listening to AKFG and then making a 4 panel page manga then ultimately getting an anime that people will remember for generations just for those same people discover AKFG. This is art in its final form. It never ends.

Im not here because of Bocchi the rock, my gateway to akfg was naruto, bleach and fullmetal alchemist. But it's nice that current anime still appreciate this kind of music after 20+ years.

I've been a fan of AKFG for years now, so Kessoku Band taking so much inspiration from their style is one of the many reasons I could immediately tell the people making Bocchi the Rock were on my wavelength.

The entire reason I started watching Bocchi is, I was told the character names were all references. That alone was both sufficient and necessary for me to care to watch it while it was airing. But indeed it was really good. ♥ Asian Kung-Fu Generation
this song is so underrated, but thanks to Asian kungfu generation, Bocchi the rock was exist. btw before Bocchi the rock the only akfg song I know is Haruka kanata.
didn't expect watching Bocchi final episode would bring me back to this song. Such a great anime, and such a great homage to this band that shaped my teenage days.
I don’t know if y’all knew but in the Kessoku band version, Bocchi is actually the vocals for the song since on her channel, she makes covers of popular bands so this could be one of those covers where she sings it herself with her band mates
