I can just waltz around my backyard and find them everywhere. Pretty cute animal, so round so soft and especially so loud

Those little guys are pretty common here in our area. You can even catch them during wet season! Some have pretty yellow band of stripes instead of tangerine and some are even black in coloration. The fields are filled with their ominous calls during months of rain and its scary beautiful.

@Richmond landersen Fells, That's awesome! They are a really incredible species.

@@BenjaminsExotics I hear their croaks during a rain most of the time. Lay eggs but when the ponds begin to dry I try to move them to a place with more water. (Got one other species of frog there too with them but not sure the name). Their tadpoles get along

I live in Thailand. I see them around very often. There is one living in my sink and my shower since two months. I feed her grasshoppers sometimes.

@chongtak, Very interesting! I'd be amazing to live somewhere where they're native.

@@BenjaminsExotics What I find amazing is it's a wild animal and I can almost manipulate it like if it were born in captivity. I can touch it and lift it, it always inflates itself though. At first, it was reluctant to eat the insects I would give it, but now, anything disappears in a second.

Lol this morning I woke up, checked up on my chubby frog and she was climbing the tank wall like a tree frog lol

@PlecoWitP, Lol yeah the smaller ones can really surprise you with their climbing ability! Really unique for a terrestrial species of frog.

@@BenjaminsExotics Yeah, sadly though she passed away a few months later. R.I.P But I got a new Asian Spiny Toad! (Bufo melanosticus) She's doing well. Pretty cool toad, it's a female juvenile. I feed her crickets, what can I feed her other than crickets? Will nightcrawlers work? Edit: I'm getting a chubby frog soon! Edit 2: I got one today!

Found this vid while trying to find a guide on breeding these guys (there isnt one, lol) Hoping to take out the wild caught market in my area by breeding them and selling cheaper. Best of luck!

@Wink 8009, There is an article on reptiles magazine that talks about some of the aspects of breeding this species called "Asian Painted Bullfrog Care".

Those are cool frogs, it would be interesting if you could somehow breed the black background to the orange striped frogs and the brown to the tan or yellow. Start line breeding them for black opacity and neon oranges those would be awesome. They are already awesome but you know what I mean. Frogs are really interesting little animals wish I had the time to add them into my collection.
@BenjaminsExotics

@eddie julian, Indeed! I think a few generations of line breeding could really produce some exceptionally nice colors in this species.

Those guys are quite beautiful! I love the variation you got with just the 6 animals. If you do decide to breed them then I wish you the best of luck with them. Will we be seeing a reptile room tour this year? I'd personally love to see the species you are working with.

@ZD Exotics, I'm planning on filming a reptile room(s) tour in a few weeks once some of the recent additions come out of quarantine. It's been a long time since I've shown everything off so it's definitely at the top of my video list now that the baby Ball Pythons have slowed down a bit and I have more time for filming.

I live in Vietnam, every time it rains in the afternoon or evening, I go to the street to look at the edge of the grass or in humid places, I will find bullfrogs, I have caught a lot, there are two types of yellow and black, Yellow is quite common and black is only found in coastal areas

Is this what they also called the chubby frog? They have a small mouth just like the tomato frog of Madagascar. They might go very well in a bioactive terrarium with isopods.
@BenjaminsExotics
@BenjaminsExotics Год назад
@Progressive Discussions, Yes Chubby Frogs is another name for this species. They are in the same family as Tomato Frogs (microhylidae).
@ProgressiveDiscussions
@ProgressiveDiscussions Год назад
@@BenjaminsExotics this is probably why my adult tomato frog could not eat the larger dubia roaches. They are a small mouth frog species. Superworms yes, plus my enclosure that is infested with dairy cow and powdered Orange isopods should work with dwarf isopods as a cleanup crew. I have my eye on the yellow barred tiger salamander, but the only thing with amphibians is that they require very clean water at all times. Which means daily maintenance. The Japanese Miyako toad is beautiful but I never see them online for sale. The Indian purple frog is very strange and fascinating but I believe they are endangered.

Found this vid while doing research on the little guy I saw earlier while doing dishes, he was chillin on counter, I had no idea how did the guy get up there. I let him out in my backyard, if he show up again I might make a tank for him and keep him inside. ( I wish I could show the photo, he was really cute while watching me doing dishes )

Just caught one inside our house while it was eating ants. I tried google lens to identify it and it is called banded bullfrog according to google. I released it back outside the house. I guess they become active during heavy rain. They're noisy at night and sound like cow.

I would love to have some pet frogs, but my family will NEVER let me have a pet frog of any kind. They are old school and just don't just see them as pets, my father would say "what does a frog do? You can't take them for a walk you can't teach the to fetch." If it doesn't have four legs, fur and barks then it's not a pet according to my family.

These little sh*ts are loud as hell after a rainfall. Some people find comforts from their 'wuaaang, wuaaaanngg' sound, some people don't including me. Although they look so cute, I hate them so much ever since I was a kid because of their annoying sounds after rain. When monsoon season arrives? Well... you would be facing their mating call continuously on daily basis for 2-3 weeks.
