Hi Sana, How much should I water the Lily plant in winter? I bought some Asiatic Lily plants from garden center and do not plan to divide the bulb this autumn.

water only when soil feels dry to touch, water from snow and rain should be jsut enough. but if you experience dry winters you can water so the soil is just moist and not soaking wet.

I purchased three lily plants this year and put them directly in the soil. They are in the same patch of land about a foot away from each other. They all had buds when i bought them. All the buds have now bloomed and i cut the flowers after they dried. Now, i am noticing that the leaves on one of the plants is yellowing/browning. The other two look ok. They are receiving the same amount of water and sunlight. I did not fertilize them at all. Do you have any idea on what might be going on with the one plant that is not faring well?

Nothing is wrong with your plant. it is the normal cycle of the asiatic lily all around the year. after the flowers have bloomed and withered off. sometime at the end of summer the plant will start to brown and the plant will die back but the bulb will be very much alive. please watch my asiatic lilies playlist for futher information. Hi and thank you for the video, question for you: what do you do with so many bulbs/bulbettes? Do you ever jus throw them away?

you're welcome. 😊. well i've been growing them for 5 years now and never have I ever thrown away any bulblets my self 🙈( can't help if any bulbs escaped my vision🧐). I see the potential, the resuls are in front of me every year, i would never want to throw them away If i know that they will flower in their 2'nd or 3'rd year . I hope it helps

hii.... i planted my asiatic lilies in begg of november (one of them have got lil buds)and i m expecting them to bloom and wither away until the mid or end of january(here winter temp can go down to 1-2 degrees and summer temp upto 45 -47 degrees) ........so what i wanted to ask you is what is the possiblity of lilies blooming again if cut the stems of lilies and plant them again(i.e changing the soil/adding fertilizer..etc) since feb(10 deg) and march(20degree approx) will have winter so will they bloom .....?

Sorry about the delayed response, Sometimes not all comments show up. The bulbs grow and bloom only once in every growing season. If you cut the stem, it will die back and the bulb will go dormant until the next growing season. I hope this helps.
