Hi everyone. My name is Sana. Am passionate about gardening. In my videos, I share my regular gardening routine, care and a few tips. If u also have a liking for gardening, flowers, colours or anything beautiful 😉, hop on.
Good afternoon, thank you for posting your video. I enjoyed tremendously taking mental notes. These are beautiful flowers with no scent. If it was not for your video I would not have discovered there is a water soluble potassium and phosphate fertilizer. Not to worry, a tiny bit to start. This was one of those spontaneous moments for me. I was at Lowe's and there was a sign on a cart for all Asiatic lilies. $40.00. I asked. I bought the cart. When I got home I counted them, 74 adult plants in all. I like the black grow bags from China. I have some of those orange resin containers too. I bought scented perennials, deer came and ate them down. Glad to see my backyard will be a sight to wake up too. Good day.
It looks like you may have had some Lilly leaf beetles. They LOVE Asiatic and ornamental lillies. They will do some leaf damage, but more often than not They seem to go straight for the blooms. They burrow in and eat them causing them to rot and fall off
I know this is an old thread, but I grew these this year and I wanted to ask about how long do they last after blooming? For about how long is there a plant afterwards, so I know if I only have these and they die off how long the bed will be bare before they grow again next year?
What climate zone are you in? We are in what was 4a and is now 4b due to climate changes. We do get quite cold here, and seeing you plant lilies in above ground vessels, do you have any concerns about cold temps over the winter? Normally, we keep our over-the winter perennials in the ground for protection because those in above ground pots tend to freeze-out. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.
❤ great video thank you! Just bought one that was already in this state. Looking forward to next years bloom! I’ll be following your videos throughout the different stages.

My pot of Lillie’s was planted last gray they are crowded I live in Louisiana, can’t I divide them now or wait till after they bloom. They look just like yours
I live in Louisiana so we do. Have a winter do I have to dig and store ,can’t I just leave them in the pots I am 80 and I only do so much,I am doing different bulbs so I don’t have to do so much. Will watch your videos today. Thank you 🙏👍👏
I just started last year I planted one pack, and the pot is full did not realize it was Lilly’s till they grew more I had no idea that would multiply and I did not know I had to dig and divide. This year I got two more packs now ,have planted already. Do you have to divide after the first tear? I am going to go through your videos today thank you.🙏👍👏👏👏
Asiatic Lily bulbs in my area sprouts every year in March and produces flowers. I planted an Oriental Lily last year, will they sprout just like my Asiatic ones? If yes, then which month is their sprouting time?
Thank you so much for showing us how to store the bulbs over the winter.. I had no idea you had to cover them with compost and Peat 😁 thank you I will have a lot more flowers now that you showed us how to store these correctly! I'm definitely subscribing I need your help 🤣😁 have a great day thank you! ❤️
Very nice explanation. Your accent is comprehensible. Please share as to in what time the bulblets bloom - do they take the same time as the normal size bulbs? In north India these are still blooming (January) and will dry up by February middle. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind comment. These bulbs start to bloom sometime in early to mid-summer ( June, here in the UK). The Bublets which are the little ones, if they have a flowering capacity will bloom earlier than the fully mature large-sized bulbs. My small bulblets start blooming in May.
I’ve started watching your videos last night, I must say you got me hooked on planting bulbs. Gonna go to my local nursery and buy some after breakfast. Thank you for taking me on a tour of your garden this morning, very very beautiful!!!!
hii.... i planted my asiatic lilies in begg of november (one of them have got lil buds)and i m expecting them to bloom and wither away until the mid or end of january(here winter temp can go down to 1-2 degrees and summer temp upto 45 -47 degrees) ........so what i wanted to ask you is what is the possiblity of lilies blooming again if cut the stems of lilies and plant them again(i.e changing the soil/adding fertilizer..etc) since feb(10 deg) and march(20degree approx) will have winter so will they bloom .....?
Sorry about the delayed response, Sometimes not all comments show up. The bulbs grow and bloom only once in every growing season. If you cut the stem, it will die back and the bulb will go dormant until the next growing season. I hope this helps.
Hello! Thank you for you video that are very clear and well done! I've an asiatic roselily Samantha and it's still all green (stems and leaves). I'm Italian and temperatures now are from 0 degrees to 13. Why stems do not die? Should I cover the pot or put it in a greenhouse to not make it freeze?
