Thank you RoadToUK for these awesome episodes of Ask a Consultant, I loved watching them all. Especially as an aspiring emergency physician, Dr Islam's open-hearted ideas and suggestions actually acknowledges the deeper areas to dive into. Do appreciate your hard works guys! 'কেমন আছেন আপনারা!?'

Masha Allah ! I was always spectical about the culture out there and its influence on our religion but seeing this gentlemen I feel relaxed and peaceful
Fantastic.....I have always wanted emergency medicine...this consultant made me even love it more....i don't know how I skipped this vlog ever since....anyways am happy I came across it...thank you Dr Ibriz and Dr Ibrahim for bringing us this exciting and informative contents....they are very helpful honestly.
Assalamoalaikum wa rehmatullah wa barakatuhuu, I am looking to pursue Emergency Medicine as a career full time. However, some part of me also wants to pursue Cardiac Surgery (which is a big part of why I am a doctor). So what I am thinking is I can get on the CST pathway, and let those three years help me get the surgical experience/training in and if i want to carry forward with that i can go down the Cardiac Surgery pathway or I can enter DRE EM. A. Does this sound like a reasonable plan? B.If I take up Core Surgical Training and then apply into DRE EM after conpletion of CST, would that mean i will have Double CCT at the end of EM training? C. Should I stick with trying for ACCS EM?
This is amazing...I always was curious about EM and listening to the snippet here from the consultant felt like its coming from me. I am working in EM at Aiims now. But I don't get why do we need MRCS and not MRCP to progress through EM in the UK. Thanks for sharing..
what a lovely guy dr.Islam is! according to his history, are training jobs for emergency specialist rare and hard to secure now? do you suggest us for the first job try to seek training emergency positions? or we have to start with non-training jobs then start to find training jobs?
No they aren't. Things have changed now, restrictions have been removed, so that international graduates are at par with local graduates. We always recommend starting with a non training job to better understand the system. Please also see: roadto.uk/5scT/
Please conduct an interview or cover a surgical specialty esp orthopedics of a consultant Preferrably of Pakistan /Bangladesh/India. Hearty thanks both you for your commendable & priceless effort & work towards img community.
