Request: Someday, will you please do a video (or a series of videos...) on Prehistoric & early pre-dynastic Egypt? (How they evolved from local rulers to the beginnings of creating the longest sustained state entity.) Those time periods are sooo under represented in literature & in documentaries. Most people are only interested in the flashy wealth of some tombs & the legendary rulers... (mostly represented by Lower Egypt/Northern Egypt/Delta Egypt) I'm more interested in the inception of the Egyptian state, how the Upper Egyptians/Southern Egyptians created the impetus to unite Upper Egypt with Lower Egypt.

I actually have a whole series of livestreams playing the city building game Pharaoh which start in the pre and then early dynastic period. In each level I talk about that site and tiem period and how the game corresponds to real life. You should check them out!

I'm not a gamer & would have little interest in watching such videos...

To be fair they're not really about the game, I spend most of my time talking about the subject and the topics you mentioned. You could probably get away with just listening and not watching.

I screwed up the audio editing (because of course) for the very start of Kayleigh's interview (sorry!). Skip to 2:28 for her answer to the question "What inspired you to study history?" Don't forget to check out the video I did on Kayleigh's channel and subscribe to her as well! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TSJQggK5QS0.html&ab_channel=HistorywithKayleigh

Great interview. Im a subscriber to kaylighs channel and now ive subscribed to yours. Do you know david milano on world of antquity? If you like to interview people i think he would be a good on to interview. He did a video demonstrating how the ancients could create stone objests and cut stones for buildings using bronze age materials and techniques.

@Inside_Archaeology Just a slight correction: Dr. David Miano... He's a historian, specializing in classical history & some ancient history. His video content is awesome. He does serious videos on ancient history & he does some that are debunking on alt archaeology. His debunking shorts are hilarious. Seriously, hilarious. Anyway, his channel is called World of Antiquity, as stated above. You'll enjoy his content.

Finding what interests average people, take your structured education thinking process and set it aside. Now what do they see when looking at an old structure? Well they compare it with what they know already. So what can make it interesting for us is providing the how, what and why that was an improvement over older structures and how we learned from that to make current structures today. Hardly anyone brings up the hot summers or cold winters during excavations as to what it does to the find. I’m a 71 yr old tool and die maker and when I see tools dug up by educated people that know nothing about what they are talking about I just laugh😂, all they say is it’s this age lol and guess what is was for lol 😂most get it wrong. 😊 just sayin’
