I always enjoy Bart's views and answers without demeaning any faith or groups. His sensible explanations are both acceptable and understandable without ever excluding the big question.
what Bart said about Luke's gospel not having the doctrine of atonement, and your guilt is what's necessary, made me think, hmm that's interesting, since I don't feel guilt, I mean about anything ever, since i was a child. It's not a bad thing, i feel everything else like empathy etc it's just guilt and remorse which is missing.
Mike Lincona's Titanic comparison is weak. Titanic sinking because of an iceberg woukd be quite different if it sunk because if a torpedo, that would have a very different context.
An even better illustration is that of Mike Winger who has a 9/11 parody of Bart Ehrman using Ehrman's own logic & methodology. "In one video the plane comes from the left; in another it's on the right! Which one is it? In one video the plane banks sharply into the building; in another it flies straight! Which is it?! Mr. Ehrman is very confused, he said he used to be saved, and now doesn't believe in God, I question whether he had a biblical salvation experience, no Christian should be listening to Mr. Ehrman, the Scriptures are Spiritually discerned, which he does not have if he is not a Christian. When attempting to cover virgin birth parallels with Jesus, Bart Errorman jumps centuries and nations to find parallels but omits the testimony of early church fathers such as Socrates Scholasticus, Epiphanius, Cyril of Jerusalem, Eusebius and ithers who said a man named Buddas conversed with the apostles in Jerusalem or Judea (pre 70) and claimed to have been born from a virgin. They said his doctrine was from his teacher Scythianus who created his doctrine in Alexandria based on what he learned in India. They said one of the books Buddas has in front of the apostles was titled Euangelion (Gospel) which would make it the earliest attested book with that title.
There are some questions I could ask Bart...but without having the Holy Spirit, he won't be able to give a proper Biblical answer. 1 Corinthians 2:14 is the reason why.....

It is obvious from his answers that Bart Ehrman is spiritually dead person meaning a spiritual corpse he can't see, can't hear, and can't respond to the living Word of God. Jesus has a salvation plan for those who trust the Lord and cry out for mercy for salvation.
