Answering your anonymous questions about everything QUEER! I've been out of the closet for a couple years now, and I'd say I know a thing or two about being queer. These are only my own personal opinions and advice, so don't feel pressured to use it, but I hope I can help some of you feel a bit more clear on the topics that you sent in to me! I came out as lesbian by blasting "Girls Like Girls" by Hayley Kiyoko though my house today. My parents told me "why are you listening to music about lesbians" I simply stated "I just want to identify with good gay music" they were so confused

I'm a freshman in high school and I came out to my mom as bi after I got into a fight (not punching or anything just arguing) with this girl in my grade who said gays go to hell and she'll pray for them. My mom was all like, "Why are you getting so involved with this? Are you a lesbian or something?" Then, I told her, and she was like, "What about (insert previous boys I liked names)" I tried to explain to her that I like guys and girls. She pretty much says she doesn't believe me (I am also straight-presenting btw). I told her that I told my brother. She was like, "My SON!?" as if I had corrupted him with my gayness. She said she loves me no matter what blah blah blah, but she hasn't brought it up since and I feel like she thinks its just a phase although I am sure it isn't. What should I say to convince her that ItS NoT a PhAse mOm? Also, as a young queerio, I loved the video and need more.

I'm in the same situation, except that I came out to my dad on New Year's eve and I'm a lesbian. He told me that I don't really know anything in life yet (which is fair enough) but he excepted me, told me I'm still his daughter and he loves me. I think you should just let it be for now. Your mom can doubt your bisexuality, she needs time to process things too.

My mom said she accepts me but she has also said repeatedly that I am too young to know, and that I also won’t know until I’m *active*. It’s just something I know though, like how most straight girls just know they are straight from a young age. It did take me awhile to figure out that I’m pansexual but now that I have I just know.

I have a question if you make a part 2: I don’t feel 100% certain about my sexuality because I’ve never been with a girl before. Is it okay to still be questioning it, because most people argue that you don’t need to be with a girl to know you’re queer. Ty and I love you ❤️

as someone else said, its perfectly okay to still question like that! i haven't been with anyone- boy or girl- but i know i'm gay. its just something i know and feel, deeply. you do NOT need to have "done both" to know what you like. but its also completely 100% okay to need to for your own mind to truly figure out who you are and what you like. its all about a personal experience. the reason why everyone says how you dont need to be with x to know who you are is because so many people try to make it so you MUST have experience in order to say so. you can or can't, it doesn't matter how or when or why you find who you are.

I feel like I'm such a late bloomer :/ I never had a problem with queer people, though I also had to deal with queer slurs being thrown at me during the time I was bullied, so I feel like it has made it kind of hard to accept that part of me. I am 21 already, but really don't have any friends who are active in the LGBT scene, and I also don't want to go to a gay bar alone, and I've also never been in a relationship, so I just feel kinda isolated :/

I know this is a little late, but how do you know if your bi? For the last 2 years or so I’ve been questioning it cuz I’ve been finding girls more attractive and I even liked my friend for a little bit, but how do I know it’s not just a phase or somethin. Hell yeah never settle on a label if it doesn't feel totally right. I had been questioning my sexuality since like elementary school and I finally came out of the closet as a lesbian about 5 months ago after considering bi, demi, pan, etc. It's important to take however long you need to get to know yourself and not to stress if you feel like that definition changes over time.

i was never told about what lgbt was as a kid i think i only found out in high school when i was fifteen. i basically said to myself ‘i’m not gay i’m not gay’ but as a kid i was never interested in being with a guy. i just thought i wasn’t a romantic. but as a lot of my friends came out as lgbt i realised i am very not straight

I came out as bi to my mum when we were arguing one day. And she ended up going on a rant about how labels are all bullshit and stuff. Which I do sort of agree on but not in the way that she is interrupting it. However now she’s starting to say that she doesn’t actually believe that I’m bisexual, due to never talking about crushes on girls and stuff. That’s all down to 1: never really realising that I liked a certain girl until I’ve gotten over her, or it’s too late. 2: never wanting to bring up anything LGBT cos it always ends in an argument. And 3: terrified for her telling the rest of the family, knowing that they’ll all judge me and question it 24/7. Now I have a girlfriend who’s a lesbian, and I’m completely scared of her finding out as I don’t want my mum thinking that I’m only dating her to get back at my mum. It’s confusing 😂

omg I love this video such awesome advice thank you so much! One thing that I can definitely confirm due to my experience is that no one should push oneself to come out. You can just live your life, be happy and open about your sexuality. When someone asks you, you can happily tell them who you are and they will most likely have an open ear for you since after all, they asked.

Okay since there might be a part two coming, I thought I might ask for some advice here. I'm in a long term relationship with a man (and very happy), but I recently found out I'm bi. I never did anything with a woman and I would love to experiment a bit. My boyfriend said he would be okay with that, but I don't know how to feel about that since he would never be okay with me doing stuff with another man and I feel him “allowing“ me to do stuff with women comes from him not fully respecting my sexuality / thinking of it as a phase or something like that. Not that he said anything like that, but there has to be a reason why he would be okay with me doing things with other women but not with men.

Wear velvet to a nightclub, if someone says that top looks beautiful and soft. Give a half smile and say: "Yeah it's so soft, I love the feel of it if you want you can touch." Watch the persons eyes, their mannerisms, watch if they follow you with their eyes when you go get a drink. Ask them: "What do you like to drink?". Remember not everyone who goes to clubs drinks booze. Offer to get them a drink, be confident and tell them I'm going to go out and dance. Don't feel awkward to dance alone. I love the cat & mouse chase plus it really shows if they are into you.
