Ask Elvis 27 July 2007 

It was a national tragedy when Steve Wright’s afternoon show was cancelled. The fun, laughter and enjoyment his show brought to millions of people was immeasurable. Ask Elvis made me cry with laughter 😂😂😂every time it was on. Steve Wright was a master of his craft and I am grateful I got to share, along with millions of others in the wonderful anarchic radio program that was Steve Wright in the afternoon.

When i heard the news of his passing i had a flash back sat in my truck m6 traffic jam roaring with laughter as Ask Elvis did the Banana Splits theme music and looking over to another driver laughing his head off then pointing to his radio RIP Steve Wright

whoever made the decision to axe his show made the worse decision ever in the history of British radio . was a total disgrace . shameful .

God bless you Steve Wright. I loved every show you ever did. You made me smile so many times that simply saying thank you will never seem quite enough. Thank you Sir. ❤

I used to listen everyday to The Steve Wright Afternoon Show in my dental surgery. It was a very sad day when he presented his last show. He is a true legend and although I never met him I felt he was my friend. RIP Steve ❤️
