I’d say, before they start the questions: anyone who doesn’t respect the mother of God and (spell edit) insults her is a heretic 🤷🏻♀️ Full of Grace, the only woman good enough to carry Him in her womb, to breast feed, care and guide Him as He grew up with the help of a man who hi was good enough to obey God and stay married to her and help raise and protect Him.
Mary has always served a symbol of the Church, so it is no wonder that a movement which began by separating from the Body also seeks to separate themselves from Our Lady. They display in the religious realm many of the traits we see in motherless children: lack of empathy, rigidity, etc. If you have ever wondered why Protestants are so tightly wound, the answer may be here.
NOWHERE in the Bible does it teach that Mary is the mother of God, nor did Jesus ever call her that! He never said she was worthy of special honor. He even corrected a women who gave attention to Mary’s happy role by saying: “No, rather, happy are those hearing the word of God and keeping it!” (Luke 11:27,28) That is adding to the Scriptures and it’s a grave sin. (Revelation 22:18) The Bible clearly explains that she gave birth to “the SON OF GOD,” Not God himself! (Luke 1:32) In Judges 5:24 it speaks of Jael as being a “most blessed” woman too. So Mary isn’t the only woman highly favored in God’s eyes if you read the Bible. *The terms “Mother of God” and “Theotokos” are NOT found in the Bible. The early Christians never gave Mary special honor. A historian states: “The early Christians would have rejected cults and probably feared that undue attention to Mary might evoke a suspicion of goddess worship.” (In Quest of the Jewish Mary) *The Bible also says that God has always existed. (Psalm 90:1,2) Since he had no beginning, he cannot have a mother. Furthermore, the Bible makes it clear that even the heavens cannot contain Him. (1 Kings 8:27) Yet he somehow fit into a tiny womb 🙄
@@sunnyjohnson992 is Jesus part of the trinity? Mary is daughter of God, mother of the Son and spouse of the Holy Spirit. Three in one so yes she is Theotokos whether you like it or not.
@sunnyjohnson992 my dear friend Nestorianism was dealt with in 428 A.D. separating Jesus in two is heretical. If jesus wasn't God then who is the Son of God? Who then died for our sins? Where is your Bible verses that proves your assertions that jesus is two persons? Where?....Who is Elizabeth calling the "mother of my Lord" in Luke 1: 42...if the holy spirit filled her to cry out! Shouldn't we honor Mary as what the holy spirit teaches us to call her; Mother! You posted falsely interpretation quoting luke 11: jesus is not correcting silly' not everyone has the grace of being a mother of Jesus, but God gives us a chance to hear and keep the world of God, blessed is the one who keeps the word luke 11:27- cherry picking verses out of context and useing them wrongly is adding to the word of God; who is enraged of the woman only satan. And yes the Bible does say Mary is our mother Revelation 12:17...Mary has many offspring the ones who keep his word....
As a former Roman Catholic I do not lack respect for or feel any need to insult the Virgin Mary. My belief is that, while she did cooperate with God’s plan of salvation, she was a person. A person just like all of us. I reject the idea of her perpetual virginity because, as a woman, born under the Mosaic covenant, she would have lived a life of obedience to the Law of Moses. That includes the relationship she had with her husband, the commandment to be fruitful and multiply and, according to Catholic tradition, she would have been viewed by the people as a sinner because of her poverty. She lived a life as an obedient Jew. However, according to the Law of Moses, anyone who kept all of the commandments of God would be wealthy. It’s because of these contradictions that I believe that the Virgin Mary was a sinner who needed a savior. And it was her Son who accomplished that for her and us. No disrespect intended. I just believe she was a person just like all of us. God bless.
I’m catholic--but why is there is a clear serpent represented there? I’ve seen it? Aside from the gentleman’s argument for leaving the Church. Why in the world would a serpent be there? Of all things 😢. I’ve seen it. It’s not “like” a serpent. That question was skirted around.
As a former Catholic, I just saw the images of that room and, I have to say, I don’t think you can blame a wide-angle lens on the likeness. What about the “fangs” and the scale-like pattern in the lighting. As far as Mr. Broussard’s dismissing the concern by claiming that the church proclaims the Lord Jesus, it has long been my concern that the Jesus it proclaims is not the correct Jesus, I’m sad to say. It may be coincidence but I’d love to know who approved the rooms design. May God be with us.
It’s a completely ridiculous criticism. What, so because if you stand in a certain spot in this auditorium, and take a photo with a certain lense from that certain spot, you get something that crudely looks like the eyes and mouth of a snake, then what exactly? That proves that the Catholic Church is secretly pagan? And the church intended to construct that auditorium with those specifications so that you could take a carefully positioned photo to “reveal the truth”? What an exhausting way to think. @@CatchCraftInc Of course it’s ridiculous. One could look at the roof line and compare the undulations to the way a serpent moves. One could draw a comparison with the solar panels to the way a snake warms itself with the heat of the sun. One could go an and on with this. 🤨
