Today, we sit down with Trent Horn from Catholic Answers to discuss the House's recent bill aimed at preventing anti-Semitism and some of the biggest differences between Catholic and Protestant theology. Is it anti-Semitic to say that the Jews killed Jesus? Why do Catholics pray to Mary and the saints? Why don't Catholics believe in sola scriptura? And how do Catholics and Protestants differ in their beliefs about salvation?

Allie, I'm grateful for you having these discussions. I was Anti-Catholic a year ago and thought you owned George Farmer. But that debate got me interested in researching Catholicism. Fast forward, and just 5 weeks ago I was confirmed Catholic at the Easter Vigil.

Trent seems to be following Farmers playbook in this discussion. He's chosen to pose questions and not quote bible verses to convince anyone. In hope the the questions lead to curiosity and the holy spirit taking over in conversion.

@@botanicamelancholia RCC re-sacrifices Christ every mass and in the end Jesus is still not enough because of the invented safety net of purgatory. Jesus sacrifice on the cross wasn't enough for RCC. God said do not drink physical blood, but they believe in the doctrine of transubstantiation that when you consume the bread and wine it LITTEARLY transmutates into blood and flesh. Then they all pray to Mary when Jesus told us WHO to pray to and its not his mom. They glorify her beyond what the Bible says and make graven images of her and invented entire doctrines around her......don't get fooled by their one true church narrative and proof texting matthew 16 18 to give themselves false authority.

@jsharp9735 You should read Ignatius, Justin Martyr and Iraneous. You'll find that the "invented doctrines" from when "Rome appropriated Christianity" are actually incredibly early and predate any consolidation of the scriptures. Ignatius, for example, literally says: *Especially [will I do this] if the Lord make known to me that ye come togetherman by man in common through grace, individually, in one faith, and in Jesus Christ, who was of the seed of David according to the flesh, being both the Son of man and the Son of God, so that ye obey the bishop and the presbytery with an undivided mind, breaking one and the same bread, which is the medicine of immortality, and the antidote to prevent us from dying, but [which causes] that we should live for ever in Jesus Christ.* Or *It is becoming, therefore, that ye also should be obedient to your bishop, and contradict him in nothing; for it is a fearful thing to contradict any such person. For no one does [by such conduct] deceive him that is visible, but does [in reality] seek to mock Him that is invisible, who, however, cannot be mocked by any one.* Seriously, Ignatius tells the Christians to be unified with and obedient to the Bishop over and over and over again. The authority of the episcopacy is indisputable in the early (and oppressed) church

Born as a Muslim, found Christ. Became Protestant Christian, till I noticed various disagreements within the Protestant Church. I knew something was wrong. But I knew one thing, that Christ must have left us a true Church, because the Bible often warns against false teachings. I just knew deep down that God will not leave us like lost sheep. After 2.5 years, I am convinced that the Catholic Church is the Church that Jesus left us. Last December I joined the Catholic Church and will remain in it until my last breath. Thank you God for everything.

I started seriously looking in to Catholicism a week ago. This weekend I prayed through the full rosary, took about an hour and a half as I’m still memorizing it. For the first time in my life I have felt a genuine burning for knowledge of the lord in the last few days. Looking forward to continuing this journey.

Yay! Welcome to your journey! I remember the first time I ever prayed the Rosary when I was 20 yrs old - I recall apologizing to God at the beginning hoping I wasn't offending Him by asking His Mom for prayers and I recall that the meditation on the Mysteries of the Rosary took me to a whole other level of understanding of the reality of the events recorded in the Bible. It was amazing!

Good! keep saying the rosary ! The rosary have no Salvation, it is religious spirits, when I experienced the holy spirit my eyes were open and I said, Lord all these years Mary! The rosary! why not you? Did I expect an answer? But I heard very clearly, he said , I see you practising patience and diligence, I burst out laughing , yes you are right lord! we are practicing patience , waiting patiently for answered that never came and diligently doing it over and over again. Memorising a rosary cannot get any one into heaven, it’s not to what you do it is what Jesus did on the cross, that is grace, Mary has no part in anyone’s Salvation, that is doctrine that comes from the teaching of the Catholic Church . I come from A catholic background, I still attend mass ,at the Catholic Church, but I attend especially to ask others , they like if I pray for them, I find them always receptive In receiving prayers . I would say, if you kneel down, close your eyes and pray with all heart your mind your soul and your strength believing you receive it , God will answer your prayers. He doesn’t answer prayers that is of repetition , if you want to know how to pray, read the palms, David poured out his heart to the God of Israel , how he felt and what was going on in his life. God already know all, but he wants us to come to him. I saw and I know the difference. I read the old Testament and I would spend hours in the morning talking to the Lord, what is the church teaching Lord ? what did the Catholic priest read to know you ? , I was angry! I knew about Jesus but I did not know him personally, I later realise he wants us to know him personally or I would end up in hell. He began to stir my heart and I did not know where I can go it worst yet who can I talk to , I did not know the Bible I did nkt know the Word of God , I thought maybe I should go to the Catholic Church and talk to some one , but I heard a very Stern voice , No Not There ! I thought? , so where then ? Foolishly I went all the way to the Vatican . Lots of people queueing … I realised no it’s not here. I stayed with a friend unknowingly she was Buddhist ! Goodness ! I returned to London not knowing where to go , later I realised we look for God In the garbage bins . Yoga, we join new age Buddhist. But none satisfy , only Jesus satisfy . Our longing. The Holy Spirit led me to Holy Trinity Brompton in London, and on Pentecost Sunday2002 he catapult into heat seeking missile. That is over 20 years ago and he has held my gaze ,I don’t concentrate on any thing for long, but with the Holy Spirit 24/7 he is my thought Word and deed , and I encourage others, so please read the Bible. The rosary would lead you to hell read the Bible! The rosary is NOT biblical and see for yourself. GOD would not accept anyone or share his glory with anyone, ir any idol , if you call Mary his mother, the relationship between Mary and Jesus changed , it was not about Mary but we can learn from Mary her obedience is beyond . . Why Did Jesus say in LUKE , 11:27-28 true blessedness 27 As he was speaking, a woman in the crowd called out, “God bless your mother-the womb from which you came, and the breasts that nursed you!” 28 Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.” This is Salvation ! not the rosary. It is a religious spirit! when I was throwing my rosary away it tugged at my heartstring, I reached to pick it up and I heard leave it very stern ! Jesus said my sheep hear my voice and they listen . There is a battle for souls and Satan and his demons are going all out. The one true church are the believers in Christ, spiritual Israel , we are grafted in into the one Church. And it not religion but relationship. . The church is build by God’s own hand. When my faith is threaten , I know Jesus prays for me, just as he told Peter , Satan asked to sift you like sand but I have prayed for you. Can that which is small contain that which is Big ? God longs to give us his Holy Spirit to empower us, he knows without his Holy Spirit we are toast in Satan hands , he wants to be strong. Mary can’t give us the Holy Spirit , the Holy Spirit give us translation when we read the Bible then he gives us revelation then we got transformation. Into a new creation. In Christ call Born Again , he removes our sin as far as the east is from the west and remember them no more . This scripture cancels our purgatory , WARNING ! purgatory is adding to God’s Word that has serious consequences. The Catholic Church want to take away Eph , 2:8-9 for it by grace through faith we are saved, it is a gift from God , not works, ( indulgences ) not of our selves (we can’t earn salvation ) SO NO ONE CAN BOAST ! Written in stone ! 1tim 2:5 for there is only ONE GOD and ONE MEDIATOR between God and mankind the Man Christ Jesus , who gave himself as a ransom for all . And we don’t need a Pope , the priesthood was done away with when Jesus died on the cross , the Jewish priesthood came to an end AD70 when Jerusalem was destroyed . Jesus became our high priest . Hebrew 4:14:16 Jesus The Great High Priest! 14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven,[a] Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-yet he did not sin. #16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.# We don’t need to ask the dead to pray for the living , God gave us his Holy Spirit never to be alone. . All who are joining the Catholic Church are looking for religion , I did not have to leave the catholic church but I have freedom in Christ to go to any church and listen to the word of God , I hardly attend the Catholic Church , because I now know Jesus personally, I have a personal relationship with my Heavenly Father through the Holy Spirit in Jesus name. I know it’s the believers in Christ who are the church not religion. That is his Church he is building a people of power a people who are called by his name … Christian. Not all Christians are Christians . I’m speaking of spiritual Christians. God is Spirit and he is looking for people who will worship him in spirit and in truth. Not through religion ! One question if the Catholic Church is the true church why was people stragjez and killed for teaching the Bible to children . Today Catholics still don’t read and study God’s Word believe snd obey , they listen to doctrine believe and live but it . That has no salvation ….that is scary! Salvation is real experience . Hell is real there is no turning back your name is written in the book of life there is One heaven and it our father who art I heaven not hail Mary. Mary in the Bible is not the. One the catholic church teaches . Don’t take my word for it . Read the BIBLE FROM Genesis to revelation .its the Holy Spirit who will translation,if Gods Word then he give you revelation and you believe, he transforms you, into a new creation in Christ , called Born Again, now you know truth , and the truth sets you free , the Holy Spirit brings freedom and relationship with God in the name of Jesus , this make Christianity different from religion. Only Hod gives the jolt spirit no priest can declare you are born again without the evidence of the manifestation of the Holy Spirit . Whew!

@@amoyjoyce1117 the Rosary is a deep meditation of the 4 Gospels centered in the Life & Actions of Jesus Christ using words which come directly from the Gospel. No one can have a relationship with someone they don't know and it's impossible for someone praying the Rosary NOT to get to know Jesus on a much deeper level. Reading the Gospels is one thing - like jet skiing on the Ocean & Mediating on the Gospels using the Rosary is quit another - like scuba diving in the Ocean. If someone wants to truly KNOW Jesus, they ought to do both daily!!! I think Satan Loves it when he's succeeded in convincing people, like the way I was raised to believe, that the Rosary is evil. I pray that you will only pray to God. Just because we "can" pray to Mary and the Saints does not mean we should. I get it, "Catholics claim they don't pray to Mary, but pray through Mary." However, no Catholic has been able to explain "Why not just pray to God?" Its a pretty simple, but a lot of Catholics are uncomfortable or even angry when I ask that. But seriously, "What is stopping a Catholic like yourself to just pray to God? He is all knowing, all present, and all hearing. The Saints and Mary don't have that power. I have yet to see a convincing argument regarding prayers to Mary and even if she is close to GOD, God is more than able. He's above Mary on multiple fronts.

I’m a Catholic revert. I turned my back on Catholicism years ago and went to a Pentecostal church for about 10 years. I eventually got tired of the rock concerts and pastors screaming into the microphone approach. I found that as I got older I needed a quieter more reverent way to worship and that’s what the Catholic Church offers, worship, adoration and reverence for Jesus. I believe God led me back to the one true Church. As I delved deeper into Catholicism, I discovered many misconceptions and my faith grew stronger. I’m proud to be a Catholic. Thank you Jesus. ✝️🙏🏻

In the end, it’s all God’s grace leading people, then they take the leap of faith and say yes to God.

Thats good and nice but what does mary do for you? For a model or example, certainly but can she recieve your prayers? Can she forgive your sins? Why would she be the broker of your prayers to jesus when you have the holy spirit already filling that position? Are you not putting humans above God? She didnt experience resurrection, she didnt give birth to God or the Holy Spirit. She may be in heaven, maybe not in heaven, dont know, but i do know Jesus is at the right hand of God. You could just as well pray to your uncle who you think is in heaven. Pray to jesus, thats a certainty.

The wing of one cherub touched one wall, while the wing of the other touched the other wall, and their wings touched each other in the middle of the room. 28 He overlaid the cherubim with gold. 29 On the walls all around the temple, in both the inner and outer rooms, he carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers. 30 He also covered the floors of both the inner and outer rooms of the temple with gold. ➨ BOWING as a sign of honour / respect: ● JOSHUA 7:6: 6 Joshua & the elders of Israel tore their clothing and lay prostrate (face down on the ground) before the Ark of the Lord. Joshua went up to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?” 14 “Neither,” he replied, “but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” Then Joshua fell FACE DOWN TO THE GROUND in reverence, and asked him, “What message does my Lord[a] have for his servant?” 15 The commander of the Lord’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so.

Yeah, I wish they had more time to go into the details of why Mary is venerated and why people ask her, and other saints, to pray for them. He did, however, go briefly into why it doesn't have to be in the Bible for it to be a licit practice. It does not contradict scripture and our view of Mary and her role comes from deductions from scripture. I would recommend reading Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary by Brant Pitre if you're interested in a super in depth study of why Catholics believe in asking Mary for prayers. Regardless of your view of Mary, it is an interesting book to show you the practice doesn't come out of thin air. I'd also recommend watching the videos on Trent's channel where he goes into it. 😊 @@cindybeltran992

@alissarehmert2502 28 дней назад
@@cindybeltran992 Yes, I wish that they had time to go into the details more. There are many reasons why Catholics venerate Mary. While it is true there is not an explicit command in the Bible to ask Mary (or any Saint, for that matter) to pray for us, there are ways that Catholics deduce the special role of Mary from scripture. Just as Trent briefly pointed out in this video, we are also not explicitly told we ought to pray to the Holy Spirit, but many Protestants and Catholics do (and rightly so because of deduction). The Catholic view of Mary is rooted in Sacred Tradition, Jewish views on the Queen Mother, and interpretation of different passages of scripture (usually you'll hear Catholics discuss John 2:1-11, John 19:25-27, and Revelation 12). As I stated above, these scriptures don't explicitly tell us to pray to Mary, but Catholics use them to deduce certain things about Mary & the Saints. I would encourage you to read Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary by Brant Pitre if you're interested in how the Church has historically viewed Mary and why. If you don't want to do that, Trent's channel is always helpful as is Joe Heschmeyer's (Shameless Popery). It did not come out of nowhere! Everything Catholics believe about Mary reveals something about Jesus and His divine nature. We don't venerate Mary because she's a deity or has any power of her own, but because of what she tells us about Christ, His holiness, His Majesty, and His love! It might also be helpful to know that there have been Catholics who were even excommunicated for taking their veneration of Mary too far (see Collyridianism)...so there is definitely a line for us Catholics. Mary is an infinitesimal creature when compared to the one Holy and Sovereign God of the Universe!

As a newcomer to Catholicism, I've come to realize that some of these teachings can be misunderstood, and I appreciate forums like Allie's channel where Christians engage in respectful and thought-provoking debates. Trent's discussions have helped me grasp some of the finer points and nuances of my newfound faith. I like to say my RCIA class and fr. Mike Schmidt's Catechism in a year were instrumental in laying a solid foundation for my Catechization and I received much needed reinforcing of my understanding of Catholic doctrine through Trent's debates. TO ALL NON-CATHOLICS: keep in mind Catholicism is not a Christian. Why? They teach a false gospel. Catholic path to salvation: ccc 2068 Biblical gospel: Acts 16:30-33, Eph 2:8-9 and Eph 1:13. Do not partner and be yoked with unbelievers. See them as Muslims or Mormons, etc. Love them with the true gospel and stand firm against the wiles of the devil. Her fruits are evil because she runs after a strange god. Now to Mary: Aside from worshipping the images of Mary, what other honors and attributes are heaped upon her by Catholics? Mary was made as the mediatrix (Catechism on True Devotion to Mary, .17) She was not tainted with sin (Glories and Virtues of Mary, p. 26) Its faster and more effective to ask help in her name than in the name of Jesus (Ibid., p. 201) God is subject to her (True devotions to Mary, p.9) The confusing teachings of the Catholic Church regarding Mary are made more prominent in the following: "Through her divine maternity, Mary in a certain way entered the divine family as a spouse who enters a royal home. With regard to the Father she became the first born daughter: I came out of the mouth of the Most High, the first-born before all creatures (Ecclus 24:5). With regard to the Son, she was a mother; with regard to the Holy Spirit, she was a bride." (Glories and Virtues of Mary, p. 43) The Catholic beliefs quoted above state the confusing supposed relationship of Mary to the so-called Trinity. She is said to be the first born daughter of God the Father, the Mother of "God the Son" and the spouse of "God the Holy Spirit." But, does the Bible conform to these teachings? Contradictions to biblical truth The Holy Bible makes it certain that there is only one mediator between God and man. In 1 Timothy 2:5 this is written: "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (New International Version) Christ is the only One placed and purposed by God to be the Mediator between Him (God) and men. The Bible never teaches that Mary is the mediatrix. It is not true that Mary was without sin because, according to the Bible, all men have sinned (Rom. 3:23) and the only One who did not commit sin is the Lord Jesus Christ (I Pt. 2:21-22) The belief of the Catholic Church that it is much easier to ask anything in the name of Mary is unbiblical. In John 15:16, the Lord Jesus said to His apostles: "...whatever you ask of the Father in My name, He may give you." (New King James Version) Not in the name of Mary or anyone else can true Christians ask for anything from God but only in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. To teach that God is subject to Mary is blasphemous. The Scriptures teach that the Father is the One who is above all, not Mary: "One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." (Eph. 4:6, Ibid.) Likewise, the Catholic doctrine that Mary is allegedly the mother of God (whom Catholics believe to be Christ Himself) contradicts the truth written in Psalms 90:2 that God has no beginning, that He is neither man nor the son of man (Num. 23:19). The Bible does not call Mary the mother of God but was introduced as the mother of Jesus (Acts 1:14), the two (God and Christ) being different and distinct from each other. Even the teaching that Mary is allegedly the daughter, mother and spouse of the three persons in the Trinity is unfounded and likewise a blasphemy against God. The true God does not consist of three persons. He is absolute in oneness and a spirit in nature (Is. 45:21; Jn. 4:24). He does not recognize any other god beside Himself (Is. 44:8; 45:21). On the other hand, Mary praised the Lord. She also recognized that God is her Savior. She herself said that she is a servant of the Lord. (Lk 1:38). She likewise declared: ""My heart praises the Lord; my soul is glad because of God my Savior" (Lk. 1:38, Todays English Version). Therefore, it is not proper to worship Mary. It is improper to pray to her and ask for ones needs. Worshipping her would be going against the teachings of the Holy Scriptures and is a downright rejection of the true God.

As a former Roman Catholic, I’ve been watching carefully for some time now the mass conversion to Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholicism happening. If Revelation 17 n 18 are what many believe it teaches, then everything happening with many converting to RC n EO is what we have been expecting to happen, but it’s not a good thing according to Rev 17 n 18.

@DavidJosephBoth It's called catholicism, I know you probably never looked into it seriously. I was an anti catholic for a long time, the church I grew up in was traditional. These days the UMC is lost but in the 80s they actually cared about scripture. John Wesley created a method to reduce and eliminate sin from someone's life. It was known as the Wesley method. Methodist became a slur against his students that they proudly accepted. That's not to say I didn't study other branches of protestantism. I studied Calvin's doctrines for 10 years, read luther, Spurgeon, rc sproul, cs Lewis and listened to podcasts from Doug Wilson, James white, Michael brown, John MacArthur, Francis Chan, and about a dozen lesser known pastors like John Samson. All that study and perspective and I still found myself confused about some passages. The best pastors couldn't explain it.... for instance, I've never heard a logical reason why calvinists believe the Jewish had no choice in choosing christ. He literally weeps because they would not choose him. Eventually I figured nobody really has it figured out and we should all just do our best with interpretation. It's a crazy long story but I started investigating the catholic church to prove it wrong. Eventually I realized they were right and the true church. Honestly don't have a single Bible difficulty, all the doctrines are sound logic, all the traditions dig back into the first century. You should at least look into what we belive. The chances are 100% that you have a misunderstanding about the church. If you didn't, you'd be catholic too.

@@timboslice980 My friend, there is nothing biblical about praying to Mary and other saints. Christians are called to pray to ONE God. We are not to call on the name of any other name other than Jesus. There is nothing biblical about going to a priest and confessing your sins and being "forgiven" and then giving penitence. There is one high priest, and that is Jesus, and He is the only one that can forgive sins. We have no need of an intercessor between the Father and us on earth any longer as we now have Jesus who goes directly to the Father. The amount of absolute idolatry worship in the catholic church is staggering. Have you ever seen the Vatican? Have you seen all the pagan imagery? Have you seen how the catholic church has taken pagan gods and littered the Vatican and their other "holy" churches with it's imagery? Have you seen the Pope's Audience hall that looks exactly like a snake and was built that way purposefully? I'm well aware the disagreements within the Christian church. Calvinism is certainly not something that I agree with at all. Salvation was paid in blood FOR ALL. It is us who chooses to believe or not. We accept, or reject Christ and his free gift. Calvinism is absolutely wrong in every way.

@@EliVanFleet Check out the vatican snake hall debunked. People take pictures of it from a specific angle to make it look that way. Any other angle and the image disappears….. its a silly conspiracy theory. Also check revelation 5:8 When he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell before the Lamb, each holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. How do the angels and saints get the prayers to offer to god here? Do we pray prayers only to god, he then takes the prayers and gives them to the angels and saints to offer back up to god? How absurd!? Sometimes i think you guys don’t look up what Catholics believe before you criticize us. It’s obvious you have a prejudice against catholics. The thing is there are certain theological principles and full on passages in scripture that are NEVER the topic of sermons. I’ve never heard a pastor talk about Romans 2, they literally always start at 3 because no Protestants seem to realize theres a distinction between good works and works of the law. This causes a theological virus in your thinking that causes you to ignore so much scripture it’s alarming. You guys cant make sense of matthew 16, james 2, and revelation in its entirety. Vestments, incense, prayers to saints, the queen of heaven, not tolerating sinners in church, the Eucharist the whole book is so catholic that you guys just say “its a symbolic book” Why is it of Protestants dont get it, they just assume its symbolic? Where is that hermeneutical rule?

As a lifelong Protestant now in my 20s, I started attending Catholic Mass and fell in love with it. I agree with their views on the real presence in the Eucharist and I want to be a part of it. My soul has felt Christ more than ever. However, my mind still has many unanswered questions, so I must start my journey and eventually attend RCIA (though not anytime soon, as I want to really understand it). I started reading Thomas Aquinas and Bishop Robert Barron. I also think I should start praying the Rosary. Any recommendations?

Before you are confirmed into the RCC, start reading the Catechism of the Catholic Church to make sure you agree with everything the church officially teaches. Focus on the dogmas, which are the required teachings. From my personal experience, the Marian dogmas are sometimes what keep Protestants from leaving for the RCC. Two of the dogmas in particular are problematic for Protestant: that Mary was sinless since conception and that she was assumed body and soul into heaven. These are non-negotiable beliefs for Roman Catholics.

Which all the angels reject immediately accept the fallen. The removal of one of the ten commandments and splitting another commandment in two just so the Catholic Church be justified to keep praying to saints and Mary.

The RCC doctrine changes the gospel and that means it is not a saving gospel, it is a works gospel. I get this information I am sharing from Mike Gendron and his Proclaiming the Gospel ministry. Mike is an ex-roman catholic, as am I. God opened my eyes to the false teaching of the RCC. There are many Scriptures in the Bible that state we are saved by God’s grace alone. Jesus is the ONLY way, not one of many multiple-choice ways that so many false religions teach. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” The numbers Mike put after what the RCC teaches is the paragraph number where it is found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church The Bible teaches: Titus 3:5 “He saved us, not because of any righteous deeds we had done, but because of His mercy” RCC doctrine teaches that “by His death and resurrection, Jesus Christ has ‘opened’ heaven to us” [1026]. Each person attains His own salvation by grace and good works [1477]. The Bible teaches: 1 Peter 1:18-19 knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like sliver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, [19] but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ. These words apply to the Lord Jesus Christ alone, not to Mary but RCC doctrine teaches that Mary is the sinless co-redeemer, “Without a single sin to restrain her, she gave herself entirely to the person and work of her son; she did so in order to serve the mystery of redemption with Him…being obedient she became the cause of salvation for herself and for the whole human race” [494] The above doctrine of the RCC is blasphemy, it is the doctrine of demons. NOWHERE in Scripture does it say that any person except the Lord Jesus is sinless. Mary knew she was a sinner and in need of a Savior. Luke 1:46-47 And Mary said: “My soul exalts the Lord, [47] And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior! The Bible teaches: Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified and Hebrews 7:27-28 who does not need daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people, because this He did once for all when He offered up Himself.” Jesus said when He was hanging on the cross: John 19:28-30 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, to fulfill the Scripture, said, “I am thirsty.” [29] A jar full of sour wine was standing there; so they put a sponge full of the sour wine upon a branch of hyssop and brought it up to His mouth. [30] Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. RCC doctrine denies it is finished. Which means they are calling Jesus a liar when He Himself said IT IS FINISHED! RCC doctrine states” The sacrifice of Christ and the sacrifice of the eucharist are one single sacrifice..the same Christ who offered Himself once in a bloody manner on the altar of the cross is contained and offered in a unbloody manner” [1397]. The sacrifice is “offered in reparation for the sins of the living and the dead” [1414]. The RCC is saying that Jesus is continually being sacrificed on the alter, that is why they have Him hanging on the cross. Jesus is not on the cross, He is seated at the right hand of the Father. RCC priests actually think they have the authority to call Almighty God from His throne in heaven to sacrifice Him on their ‘altar’ and they actually believe they are turning bread and wine into the actual body of Jesus Christ. And then the priest holds up this fake Jesus for the congregation to worship. BLASPHEMY! IDOLATRY! They are worshipping a false Jesus. Who would want mankind to worship a false Jesus and believe a false gospel? Satan of course. Jesus did not die for dead people. After we die our eternity is sealed forever. If Jesus is not your Lord and Savior, your eternity will be in hell. We have nothing whatsoever to offer to God. We come to Him with a broken spirit. Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. We cannot do any works to earn our way to heaven. Jesus said, “Repent and believe the gospel.”

I was so anti Catholic, anti Catholic books, until one day, I decided to read Catholic books from Catholic sources and found out that Protestants do not understand actually what Catholics really believe, nor do they know the entire biblical bases for their beliefs, they’re missing books, and then I learned these two words ‘Latria’ and ‘Dulia’, I mean, really learned them, then searched for Catholic answers about their biblical bases for these words, I studied why the 10 commandments of the Catholic was different and who changed it, and then I started googling, who started the first Baptist church, who started the first non denominational, who started the first Protestant church, first Anglican, and learned about king Henry the 8th (killing multiple wives, jailing the head priest of England for life) and about Martin Luther 95 thesis, etc… There’s the Catholic explanation of scripture and of history, There’s the Protestant explanation of scripture and of history, There’s the secularist explanation of scripture(40k+ sects) and history… the one who gets the most hate by the entire world, the Catholics… I read about Masonic infiltration into all the world’s organizations, including the CC, and I read the CATECHISM, not to judge at this point, but to truly understand and a whole world opened up. I was so happy, as happy and joyful and filled with love as I did when I learned about JESUS and not just about an unknown, unnamed God I was talking to my entire life knowing one existed… I cried for accusing Catholics of idolatry, I cried so Many cast Mary aside, she prophesied she would be called blessed for all generations. I’m in catechism classes now. I will forever love Protestant enthusiasm and love for God, but now I’m learning the history of the martyrs, the continued unbroken line of Christian history, I’m learning what it meant to be Christian all these years.. who founded the Catholic Church? Not any man, but Jesus Christ. There will always be a battle between good and evil, and it takes place inside the church because the world is lost already. Please give it a chance, just study it, not from Protestant sources, from Catholic sources, understand it, completely, and then do your comparing, cannot understand catholicism by learning it second hand, that truth will always be hidden. Didn’t scripture say that the Saints would Rule with Christ? They’d judge the angels? Even the most outrageous things you’ve heard, let their official sources explain it. Learn about the Papal Bulls against joining freemasonry, the only religion that freemasonry wouldn’t allow join were Catholics forever until recently, if you don’t know about what they do at higher levels, behind closed doors, look up Albert Pike’s morals and dogma, and who they worship. Only the Catholic Church stood against it, and it against the Catholics. She is the mother church and I’m so blessed to be home. Please, Protestant, take the time to learn history, again, from another POV, read the church fathers’ writings.

Question: "Are Catholic beliefs and practices biblical?" Answer: The issue concerning any church and its practices should be "Is this Biblical?" If a teaching is Biblical (taken in context), it should be embraced. If it is not, it should be rejected. God is more interested in whether a church is doing His will and obeying His Word than whether it can trace a line of succession back to Jesus' apostles. Jesus was very concerned about abandoning the Word of God to follow the traditions of men (Mark 7:7). Traditions are not inherently invalid-there are some good and valuable traditions. Again, the issue must be whether a doctrine, practice, or tradition is Biblical. How then does the Roman Catholic Church compare with the teachings of the Word of God? Salvation: The Roman Catholic Church teaches that salvation is by baptismal regeneration and is maintained through the Catholic sacraments unless a willful act of sin is committed that breaks the state of sanctifying grace. The Bible teaches that we are saved by grace which is received through simple faith (Ephesians 2:8-9), and that good works are the result of a change of the heart wrought in salvation (Ephesians 2:10; 2 Corinthians 5:17) and the fruit of that new life in Christ (John 15). Assurance of salvation: The Roman Catholic Church teaches that salvation cannot be guaranteed or assured. 1 John 5:13 states that the letter of 1 John was written for the purpose of assuring believers of the CERTAINTY of their salvation. Good Works: The Roman Catholic Church states that Christians are saved by meritorious works (beginning with baptism) and that salvation is maintained by good works (receiving the sacraments, confession of sin to a priest, etc.) The Bible states that Christians are saved by grace through faith, totally apart from works (Titus 3:5; Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 3:10-11; Romans 3:19-24). Baptism: In the New Testament baptism is ALWAYS practiced AFTER saving faith in Christ. Baptism is not the means of salvation; it is faith in the Gospel that saves (1 Corinthians 1:14-18; Romans 10:13-17). The Roman Catholic Church teaches baptismal regeneration of infants, a practice never found in Scripture. The only possible hint of infant baptism in the Bible that the Roman Catholic Church can point to is that the whole household of the Philippian jailer was baptized in Acts 16:33. However, the context nowhere mentions infants. Acts 16:31 declares that salvation is by faith. Paul spoke to all of the household in verse 32, and the whole household believed (verse 34). This passage only supports the baptism of those who have already believed, not of infants. Prayer: The Roman Catholic Church teaches Catholics to not only pray to God, but also to petition Mary and the saints for their prayers. Contrary to this, we are taught in Scripture to only pray to God (Matthew 6:9; Luke 18:1-7). Priesthood: The Roman Catholic Church teaches that there is a distinction between the clergy and the "lay people," whereas the New Testament teaches the priesthood of all believers (1 Peter 2:9). Sacraments: The Roman Catholic Church teaches that a believer is infused with grace upon reception of the sacraments. Such teaching is nowhere found in Scripture. Confession: The Roman Catholic Church teaches that unless a believer is hindered, the only way to receive the forgiveness of sins is by confessing them to a priest. Contrary to this, Scripture teaches that confession of sins is to be made to God (1 John 1:9). Mary: The Roman Catholic Church teaches, among other things, that Mary is the Queen of Heaven, a perpetual virgin, and the co-redemptress who ascended into heaven. In Scripture, she is portrayed as an obedient, believing servant of God, who became the mother of Jesus. None of the other attributes mentioned by the Roman Catholic Church have any basis in the Bible. The idea of Mary being the co-redemptress and another mediator between God and man is not only extra-biblical (found only outside of Scripture), but is also unbiblical (contrary to Scripture). Acts 4:12 declares that Jesus is the only redeemer. 1 Timothy 2:5 proclaims that Jesus is the only mediator between God and men. Many other examples could be given. These issues alone clearly identify the Catholic Church as being unbiblical. Every Christian denomination has traditions and practices that are not explicitly based on Scripture. That is why Scripture must be the standard of Christian faith and practice. The Word of God is always true and reliable. The same cannot be said of church tradition. Our guideline is to be: "What does Scripture say?" (Romans 4:3; Galatians 4:30; Acts 17:11). 2 Timothy 3:16-17 declares, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

I haven’t read all the comments. And I don’t even know if you’ll see this since it’s been a few weeks since this video posted. I’m also not so good at quoting scripture directly. But there are two verses/passages that stand out in my mind as to why we ask Mary for her intercession. At the wedding at Cana, Mary asks Jesus to give the family more wine as they had run out. Jesus tells her, “my time has not yet come.” But He listens to His mother anyway because she asked Him and turns water into wine. His first public miracle. The second verse/passage that I think of is when Jesus is hanging on the cross. Mary and the apostle John are at the foot of the cross, and Jesus says to them, “Woman behold your son, son behold your mother.” In this verse, as Christians, we know this is Jesus giving His mother to the rest of us to be our mother, as represented by John the beloved disciple. And so we can infer that in so asking Mary our spiritual mother to intercede for us, we can be comforted by the fact from scripture that Jesus listens to and obeys His mother’s requests. God made her without original sin. He made her different from the rest of us. She is held to a higher standard than the rest of His creatures because she was immaculately conceived, born without sin, lived without sin, died without sin.

I was a Protestant for 18 years and then I converted to Catholicism two years ago once I learned the Bible had 73 books for over a millennium and a half before the 66 book bible was made only 500 years ago. Then I discovered the church fathers and learn that these men were taught by the apostles and when I read their stuff it was obvious these guys were Catholic in nature and after looking at the timeline of Church history and seeing that these church fathers with their Catholic sounding doctrines, carried and spread Christianity for over a millennium before the Reformation made me wonder, "maybe there's some truth to Catholicism because God seemed to be okay with them and they are basically the only Christian church around for all these centuries, so if God is okay with using them, maybe I should look more into it" and so I did and now i identify as Catholic and I see why Jesus established a leader of the church.

@@Loved-ByGod He and many other have countless of debates and responses on videos regarding Mary. Praying to Mary is a layered theological doctrine because it talks about venerating Mary in a unique way because she's the mother of God, and because she's the queen so she does get a special grace for being the queen, another layer is the idea of prayer to Christians who are not alive on Earth, the next layer would be to explain what prayer actually is and isn't. There's a lot of barriers to explain before you can even get to why Catholics make a big deal about Mary. Feel free to check out other Catholic videos on RU-vid that deal with that question specifically. He did answer it though. He said later on the conversation that the body of Christ is one shared with those on earth and with those in heaven so if we can communicate with those on earth we can also communicate with those in heaven because prayer just means asking. He was spending some time trying to understand the framework of our vocabulary because prayer means asking or intercession for Catholics. She thinks that dead Christians are dead and are not aware of anything in heaven (where is that in the Bible) but Catholics believe that Christians are alive with Jesus in heaven (to be away from this body is to be with the Lord) and are aware of what's going on (The angels rejoicing over someone repenting on earth is a sign of heaven being aware, we have a cloud of witnesses like in Hebrews mentions, He mentioned in the catacombs of the early church that they would ask Peter and Paul to pray for at that loved one even though Peter and Paul have been dead for a long time at that point). I encourage you to rewatch the video or look up other Catholic videos that deal specifically with that issue.

Moses went up to the mountain and it didn’t even go a week and they started to worship a cow. So the fact that the Apostles died and left disciples doesnt actually say much. Not to mention how John says he was banned from a church by a diciple. Furthermore Jesus Christ rebuked alot of chuches saying they had gone astray in Revelation. Besides how do we even know that the teachings left from the diciples of the apostles are even real? For scriptures we have many manuscripts but how reliable are these writings? On the other hand when (in the old testament) all got corrupted and no one worshipped God or remembered how to worship God, meaning there was no tradition, King Josiah read the scriptures and it was an authority for Israel and God accepted it their repentance. Ridiculous. The first Christians were Jews! You could make a case that the first actual Christians were Hebrews and Israelites then Jews! That would go back almost 4,000yrs ago rube😂! That's when the planet was largely Pagan and God was going to call out a ppl unto himself because the world was under the control of the fallen members of The Divine Council Elohim. That's when the Torah was given then the rest of the Tanakh. But the age of something means absolutely nothing about the rightness or wrongness of something. Nor does pure numbers! For example there is 1.3 Billion Romans like you. But there's there's 900 million or almost 1 Billion Protestants. But there's 2 Billion Muslims. My argument against Roman Catholicism in favor of true Christianity is that Roman Catholicism incorporates a idolatrous practice of praying to and worshipping Mary and Saints!

Dear@@mitchellosmer1293, yes, we have all read the Bible. God named the seventh day to be a day of rest. He told us in the 10 Commandments to keep holy the Sabbath Day, and we are told how to do this under the Law of Moses. But during the time of the Maccabees, the Greeks wiped out a village of observant Judeans on a Sabbath (1 Maccabees 2:25-38). So those who sat in the Seat of Moses, determined that Judeans could defend themselves if attacked on the Sabbath (1 Maccabees 2:39-41.) Jesus refers to this incident in Mark 3:4. Jesus came to fulfill the law. Not just in a ritualistic way, under the Mosaic Law, but also in the Maccabeen sense of saving Life. And not just on one day a week, but on every day. I am writing this response as a courtesy to you, to give you a fair chance at understanding how far your understanding of the Sabbath is from that which is taught in the Bible (since you do not have the the books of the Maccabees in your Bible, you would not know this history that everyone in Judea and Galilee knew at the time Jesus walked the earth.) But I doubt that I will reply to anything you may say to me, since you have already proclaimed that you intend to read what I say in a twisted manner.

They are too stuck in their hardened beliefs to let it get through to them. if it doesn’t fit their own ideas they don’t accept it. every single convert that was once protestant began conversion after questioning everything they believe. if they don’t leave room for questioning they don’t learn anything.

There could not have been a symbol, however, unless there was first a true body. An empty thing or phantom is incapable of a symbol." (Against Marcion, 4.40) This is in the context of refuting the Docetic heresy of denying that Jesus had a physical body. But Tertullian clearly wrote that the bread is a symbol of His body. Mary's role in our salvation is designed by God, but firstly, Mary responded it with great faith and obedience. Hence, Mary is our great model to follow God's will and plan for humankind. God, the Father, lifted Mary to a place above all even for angels. It is fitting therefore to ask the intercession of Mary.

The Rosary is scripture as well. It is primarily a meditation on scripture, on specific mysteries in the life of Jesus Christ. In praying the Rosary, we ask Mary to pray for us to God, who is the true source of grace as we meditate on the life of Jesus Christ. The Rosary is composed of - the Our Father, which is the prayer that Jesus taught, - the Hail Mary, which are the very words of God to Mary (Luke 1:28 and Luke 2 41-42), - the Glory Be, which is a prayer of praise of the Holy Trinity In praying the Rosary, we turn to Mary's intercession (she's in Heaven) and trust in the power of merits of the life, passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Jesus or the "Church"??? >>>>>>>> Sola Scriptura, or “God’s Word alone,” maintains that the Bible is the highest source of authority in a Christian’s life, the final court of appeal (though not the only authority: the Bible itself mentions governmental and other authorities). Sola fide, or “faith alone,” affirms that justification-being made right with God-comes only through faith in Jesus. Sola gratia, or “grace alone,” says sinners are saved as an unearned gift of God’s grace, “not as a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Eph 2:8-9). Sola Christo (“solus Christus”), or “Christ alone,” emphasizes the exclusivity of Jesus’ role in salvation: “No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). And soli Deo gloria, or “to the glory of God alone,” says that the purpose of creation, salvation, and everything-including our goal as Christians-is the glory of God, “that God may be all in all” (1 Cor 15:28). I can certainly understand why the roman Catholic does not agree with scripture . It would have to get rid of some , not all , some doctrines that are totally false. We can also share these things with our Protestant brethren. Many harbor misconceptions about the Church and our devotion to Mary and the saints. Christ is indeed our “one mediator between God and man,” but he invites all of us to pray for each other. In no way does our devotion to Mary and the saints diminish Christ. In fact, it leads us to a deeper relationship with Christ. Mary has only one command recorded in scripture, “do whatever he tells you.” Mary always leads us closer to her son. Catholics know this from 2,000 years of experience dating back to the Apostles. This is a great gift we can offer to non-Catholic Christians.

Tradition really opens up the door for why we pray to Mary. The disconnect between Protestants and Catholics is Sola Scriptura. If you can ONLY focus on the Bible as your only source for Christian teachings then your limiting your understanding of Christianity. Paul says that much Christian teaching is to be found in the tradition which is handed down by word of mouth (2 Tim. 2:2). He instructs us to “stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter” (2 Thess. 2:15). I always have to point out that there isn’t any scripture verses that says Bible ALONE is our only authority. Again, that’s the disconnect. If you can show me the verse then I’ll gladly start answering all your questions.

“If one does it will either be out of context or twisted scripture”-You. This is not language of someone wanting to seek truth. You are asking these questions in the mindset of sola scriptura. First, you have to remove yourself out of this box to find the fullness of the faith. Be careful not to think in black and white (clearly In Bible/Not in Bible). The Bible was still being formulated throughout the first 300 years of the church, at the same time, the Church fathers and earliest Christians were establishing traditions and rituals. (Language Catholic Church uses): “Asking Mary for her intercession” was among these early traditions established as Trent said in the video. In the same way the Bible was put together so was the early Catholic Doctrine. Again, in the video, even though the lady put an ad right in between his best point, he says the earliest Christians were asking the apostles to pray for them and the earliest recorded prayer in history was asking the Theotokos “Mary” to pray for us. Many people hate what they think the Catholic Church is, but almost no one hates what’s the Catholic Church truly is.

Allie, I joined the Catholic church after going through RCIA and a few prophetic dreams. The Eucharist was my main concern wanted answered. I was 35 when I started the journey. The Protestant churches were not sufficient in answering this mystery. I still had questions about Mary after I was Catholic and didn't feel comfortable praying to her. In confession my priest said have patience. I started asking Christ who Mary was and how he wanted me to see her. I also listened to hours of Father Ripperger. Jesus told me to trust and Love her. It is his mother. It took a couple of years and she is a beautiful gift and I love her. She brings you closer to Christ. She does not want to be worshiped. Be open to Christ and he will reveal. It is not through our understanding. It is Christ who reveals and opens up our hearts and minds to his truth and understanding. Continue to seek and you will see the truth.

I'm not Catholic at all..... but..... some years ago I was in a secular choir rehearsal and we were singing a version of Ave Maria by the composer, Duruffle.... To my very great surprise I had this sudden and completely unexpected sense of something immensely feminine, humble, gentle, but also immensely powerful. I hesitate to say a "presence" but more an "awareness of an essence or quality" I began weeping and couldn't continue singing any more for a while. My occupation is a civic celebrant, conducting funerals for folk outside of any church affiliation. A few weeks after this surprise experience at the choir rehearsal, someone requested that I say a Hail Mary at a service, as the person had a Catholic background. I was hesitant, being a good baptist boy, but in the end went ahead with it. I was greatly surprised at how wonderful it felt to speak out those words even though I couldn't really understand why and it still felt a bit forbidden. Amazingly, just a few weeks later, somebody else asked me to do exactly the same thing, and so I obliged.... Fast forward a few years and I finally reached the end of the road with the baptist church, for a number of different reasons, even though they were a great bunch of people, and converted to Holy Orthodoxy, so - of course - I now have a completely different perception of and approach to the Mother of God, the Theotokos. I'll finish with the Orthodox version of the Hail Mary, a bit different to the Catholic one: "O Theotokos and Virgin, rejoice, O Mary, full of grace; the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the Fruit of thy womb; for thou hast borne the Saviour of our souls. I offer this all simply as a description of experiences that I have had that have changed my life, not as "proof" of anything at all.

I reverted back to the Catholic Church almost 20 years ago. After 10 years of doing the worldly thing, I had embraced Protestantism (didn’t understand why the Catholic Church was special-poorly catechized in the 80’s). Mary had become a hurdle due to all the anti-Marian beliefs I soaked up there and my own issues with female authority figures in my life. But our Lady of Fatima helped bring me back and, though it has taken patience, persistence and care on her part , I’ve consecrated my life and my children to Our Blessed Mother. My husband and I regularly pray the Rosary together, too. 🙏🏽

Catholic revert here, too. I have come to the conclusion that the "reforms" forced upon the Catholic faithful in the 1970s, all done "In the Spirit of Vatican II" (rather than actually being in accord with the written documents of Vatican II) was in fulfillment of Jesus Christ granting Satan 100 years to destroy the Catholic Church. Read about the auditory experience that Pope Leo XIII had.

Cradle Catholic here who left the faith for many years, became Protestant, and eventually was led back to the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church in 2020. My disgust and misunderstanding of Catholicism was largely fueled by influencers like Allie. My continual search for the objective truth and the grace of God to humble me allowed me to investigate both sides with genuine curiosity and an open mind. What I found is that if you go deep enough into history, you cannot continue being Protestant. Catholicism transformed my spiritual walk and relationship with Jesus in ways I cannot even begin to describe. If you know, you know. I pray for the deception to be lifted from all who are in opposition of Christ’s Church, and for their love of the Lord to override their misunderstanding.

Deep into history? Are you kidding me? The Catholic Church history is full of blood. Murdering Protestants for trying to print the Bible, killing those who preach against them ect. The Catholic Church did everything in their power (which was more than what kings had at times) to prevent the Bible from being accessible to all people. Only the smart higher knowledge church people should interpret scripture. Not those poor peasants who will just misunderstand it. Riiiiight.

I think Allie did an amazing job of representing the views of Protestant Christianity, especially since there is a range of ideas but an essential core of Protestant beliefs. The reason Catholics accept all the "extra" stuff is that they put "traditions" on the same level with Scripture in terms of having equal authority (a position which comes from the Council of Trent that he mentions). And in this way, they are adding to God's revealed Word. I want very much for all Christians, Catholic and Protestant, to be united with Christ in the afterlife, but it's very hard when both sides see each other as having heretical beliefs. Someday we will see face-to-face and understand how to reconcile these views through God's perspective.

@@melodybarbour3218 The Catholic Church has never taught such a doctrine and, in fact, has constantly condemned the notion that men can earn or merit salvation. Catholic soteriology (salvation theology) is rooted in apostolic Tradition and Scripture and says that it is only by God’s grace-completely unmerited by works-that one is saved. The Church teaches that it’s God’s grace from beginning to end which justifies, sanctifies, and saves us. As Paul explains in Philippians 2:13, “God is the one, who, for his good purpose, works in you both to desire and to work.” Notice that Paul’s words presuppose that the faithful Christian is not just desiring to be righteous, but is actively working toward it. This is the second half of the justification equation, and Protestants either miss or ignore it.

@@dalefarmilow1121 The RC church does teach such doctrine. I gave you God's word and RC doctrine. Why do RC go to mass? Why do RC baptize babies? Why do RC think there is a purgatory? Why do RC pray to Mary? Why is Jesus still on the cross when He said, "It is finished!"? Why do RC think that Mary remained a virgin? Why do RC believe that Mary was without sin? We are saved by God's grace through faith in Jesus. We repent of our sins and have faith in Jesus' finished work on the cross. We don't add anything to it. We repent like the tax collector when he said, "God have mercy on me, the sinner. We don't 'pray' like the Pharisee who boasts in what he has done. Matthew 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to Me, "Lord, Lord," will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter [22] Many will say to Me on that day, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform may miracles?' [23] And then I will declare to them "I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTIVE LAWLESSNESS.' Notice how the people talking to Jesus are saying, "Look what we did, look what we did." They did not have faith in Jesus for their salvation, they were working their way to heaven. In addressing your last paragraph. We are made righteous by faith in Jesus Christ. God imputes Jesus' righteousness to born again believers. Without saving faith, we can do nothing. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

@@donhue4546 You just spoke heresy here by claiming that Jesus' natures are two separate parts. Mary is the mother of God because Jesus is fully God and fully human, not part God and part human. He cannot be one without the other, as in His divine nature cannot be separated from His human nature. Making claims that Mary is the mother of Jesus the human but not Jesus the Son of God is claiming that His natures are separate and leads into other heresies such as adoptionism, the heretical belief that Jesus was adopted as the Son of God at His Baptism rather than being God in human form from the moment of His 'conception'. Mary is the mother of God because Jesus is fully God and Mary gave birth to God's human life which cannot be separated from His divine nature. When we call Mary the 'Mother of God' we do not claim that she gave birth to the Trinitarian God, but that she gave birth to God who became flesh.
