Watch our session led by Dr Rowan Miller, Consultant Medical Oncologist. Treatment of ovarian cancer varies depending on the type, stage and grade of cancer you have. You or your loved one may be offered targeted treatments like PARP inhibitors or bevacizumab. These treatments are used after chemotherapy as a maintenance treatment and work on specific genes and proteins that are involved in the growth and survival of cancer cells.
Hear from Dr Rowan Miller about how targeted treatments work, what genetic mutations are and why they make a difference and the impact of genetic mutations on your family members.
You can catch up on the latest advice from the experts by watching our full collection of information and wellbeing events back at a time that suits you, in the Ovarian Cancer Community, our kind, supportive group for everyone affected by ovarian cancer, including friends and family.

I am stage 4b, am now on olaparib and avastin and keeping my fingers crossed it will keep the cancer away for a good while. I was given this because I responded well to chemo and have HRD mutation.
