Needed to learn how to build slope and roads, found this video. Was put off by the text instead of voice, but still stayed as I really wanna know. Finished the video with a lot of useful tips and tricks! Liked!! But if it’s an option, make tutorial with voice would make this 10X better!!! People can watch your demonstration while listening to you explaining rather than having to watch what you do and read the text. Appreciated
Lovely video! Got introduced to this video from Reddit. Appreciate this video so much and I've learnt alot from it. Never really used the terraform as I didn't really know about it. This is similar to Enshrouded but much more complex and detailed I guess. Enshrouded's was much simpler to use but this fits the game so much. Haha. Thank you again for this guide!
It's very similar to the terraforming in Valheim, but raising the ground there costs stone, and digging a trench is actual digging with a pickaxe and costs stamina.
@@Damiana_Swan Actually you're right. Especially with that circle zone they show when we're terraforming in Valheim.. Aska is more squarish although the results are not really square nor rectangle ish. Haha..
Is that NWN music I hear? Also to add, You can also use buildings blueprints like the watch tower to create wide area elevation changes. As long as half of the building is on flat land it will force the other portion to the same elevation. I have used it to quickly create extremely tall earthen walls around a settlement.
The problem is the terrain wall doesn't provide defensive value for the structures, so while your villagers are *technically* safe due to how AI pathing works, the villagers may still say that they feel unsafe in their own home.
Maqsimous, can you ask the Devs to make Water Wells follow the terrain height? I have a well that is underground due to making the surrounding land taller... :(
When making the gateways, build the wall accross first then go to ground level to put hole through wall. I don't think that was clear in the video. Enemies always attack structures & not the earth walls, so they will attack gates first. I re-named my gates (eg North Gate) as it often comes up saying is attacking North Gate, so you know where they are attacking. Also, I build a few hedge walls around my gateway as the enemy will usually target these before attacking any of your (more imortant) buildings
you use a hoe, the tool works is from the start, I build a high earthern plot of land before placing the eye on top of it, its INSANE how fun it is to make a hill fort against all the dangers, only 2 ways in or out for now, north gate or south gate
Hey, @@UnWokeChronicles. You can see it at the 10 sec mark of the video. Press B, got to the second icon which is tools and the terraforming tool will be the first icon there. Enjoy your terraforming. Alreadyade mine into a 3 layer base with surrounding Earth walls. Haha... Thank you @Maqsimous
